Alan's Drive of the Game: Week 1 vs Detroit

Laws of nature say I have to give out this award. So, I dusted off some ECBRs and gave one away...with a little help from a dart board and the Malboro Man.

  1. Good call, Alan—I heard that one in the car on my way home. Only a couple drives to choose from, eh? Unfortunately, the Hawks did your limited-in-scope award few favors today. At least they scored, though... I would hate to read an award you were forced to grant to the opposition due to overwhelming offensive ineptitude by Seattle.

Here's to actually being able to give the award to a TD drive next week!

  2. Alan. I'm sorry. It's not your fault. It's not your fault. It's not your fault. It's not your fault.

Nice call on the use of darts to pick, as good a method as any for this game.

I'm thinking of calling direct tv and get my money back, I paid for a good game, not this. Kenny Hamlin is back, so we got that going for us.

  3. Alan...that post is really smoking!

I was hoping we were going to kick the tar out of the Lions, but I had to filter my expectations, which were looking forward to a carton of extra-long drives.

Instead, we got a contest that was so potentially harmful that it should have come with a warning from the Surgeon General.

And what's with all the punting? Yesterday our offense seemed to work itself up to a 5 Plack a day habit, which we know is not good for a long life expectancy.

The good news is though, that Pork Chop is giving up the Nicorette for Nicoderm, as his performance was definitely worthy of a patch, since he can't seem to chew gum and block at the same time!

A home game with the Cardinals might be just what the doctor ordered, because to kick a bad habit, you have to start by stamping out a butt.

  5. And here I was wondering if using the smoking analogy would offend a anti-smoker on the site. Silly me.

Well, seeing how that post was recieved well, its time for me to light up my victory cigar!
