Cutting of The Guard

I know it was already said in the flooble but i thought we needed a whole topic for it. Two players both offensive lineman were cut from the team today. The Seahawks released veteran Wayne Hunter ( who i think ADP has something against) and undrafted rookie Kyle Ralph. Hunter was a versatile player who could play both tackle and guard who i wanted another team to sign during free agency so we could get a draft pick for him but the other teams were'nt complying . I guess thats what you get when you win the NFC and make it to the superbowl other teams don't even want to give you an inch cause they know it will turn into a TD.

Anyways Hunter was almost always injured i don't know how either considering the only time he got on the field was for special teams. He had character problems too not a real Ruskell guy. He was just cited for fourth degree assault and had domestic violence problems in the past. Kyle Ralph never heard of him. I guess he did horrible during mini-camp.

Now that io wrote this i really don't know why i did it but anyways comment on it. What does this mean for the depth of the o-line. Just comment dam it there isn't much news so i got pretty excited when i saw it.

P.S I have no idea if Kyle Ralph plays guard i just like how the title sounded.

  1. You're right, that may be what you get for winning the SuperBowl, but we don't really know. how could anybody post on any Seahawks site without even realizing that we didn't win the SuperBowl? I mean getting a stat wrong here and there is one thing, but this is ridiculous.

  3. Yup, Wayne Hunter is the Bizarro Tracy White with me.

Bad history, Sando could give you a little insight between him and Okeafor in an incident. Had a ton of opportunities to be a great backup or possibly a starter, but never reached that potential. Partially because of injuries at the worse possible times, and partially because he just couldnt take that extra step. I could say just by itself that Locklear came in and took his possible job and ran with it.

I officially like every player on our roster now...Wayne just rubbed me the wrong way (no brokeback mountain jokes please...this means you, alba)

  4. Wouldn't brokeback be rubbing the right way?

  5. Any post is a good post in the off season Meeze, and you took a little too much heat for an honest editorial mistake. (btw, many seahawks fans do assert that we did win the superbowl!)

I'm a big fan of witty or ironic titles too, so I like "The Cutting of the Guard", even if we're not quite sure what position the other guy played.

Another one could have been "The Hunter Becomes the Hunted"

ADP - as long as you didn't mention what soft hands he had, I'll let you get away with the rubbing comment.

  6. Alba i know some fans think that we won the superbowl, but we officially didn't. So until we officially win one i won't claim it but i will never forget February 5, 2006 which was the biggest screw job in American Sports History.
