My Pilgrimage to Mecca!

As many of you know, my family and I are currently vacationing in Seattle, and while it's a few weeks too late, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to tour Qwest field.

My son and daughter and myself took the tour on Friday and it was awesome. I've been to a game in the old Kingdome but have never been inside Qwest before, and after this dream season, I just felt that I had to experiece the hallowed grounds.

The tour took us from the highest point in the stadium, to the famed 12th Man Flagpole, to the Press Box, luxury suite, visitor's locker room, post-game press conference room and then down to the field itself.

I've posted a full slate of pictures of the expedition, and my family is now the proud owners of $140 worth of new Seahawks trinkets! (you do not have to register to view the pix on this link)

So I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed taking them. And you get to see for yourself that I've been telling the truth all along, I'm a fat old dorky white guy from New York!

  14. alba seems like you had a great time.I've been to the stadium a few times but never took the tour seems really cool. I took the tour of Safeco fiel when it first opened and that was cool.

Just bougth two jerseys for me and my brother so i know what u mean. Didn't get Alexander cause he's shakey. I got the Jackson jersey, my brother got Trufant.

I really like D-Jack now. He is definatley one of the best WR in the league or atleast in my book. I would take him over S. Moss any day of the week and twice on Sundays.

    I'm gonna stop now.

  17. alba,

you're definitely not fat. Maybe a little chubs, but I don't see anybody else here showing off their likenesses on the internet, so props.

  27. Didn't mean to call into question your street cred, just thought there was a definite physical resemblance. And hey, Robert Van Winkle was very handsome in an early-90s, lines-in-the-hair sort of way. So it was really a secretly complimentary harmless joke.

  31. Washington, D.C.: What do you think of Eminem?

Vanilla Ice: I'm glad there's another white guy out there having success because it's all been on my shoulders for so long.

  32. Shared and evening of beers and steaks with Alba...and his better half. While the steak was good, Alba clearly over chicked. Like that suprises any of us.

All I can say is...every good feeling you've ever had about alba is justified. Good blogger, but more important, good people.

  33. Thanks Boke...same to you and your better half too!

One question though, what does "Alba clearly over chicked" mean? Are you saying that that I "married up", i.e. my wife is much better than I deserve? If so, you're right on!
