  1. I like this pick. The guy has a strong leg i wonder if we can make him our kick off specialist. I'm not sure what all the strenght and weakneses mean cause the only thing i understand is 45.3 punt average and thats pretty good.

I hope they don't give up on him too quickly like they did Donny Jones who by the way irritated the hell out of me when he was our punter.

  2. Basically, he hits real well, and has a knack for getting the kick off quick (something we need)...and can pin teams real well. Problem is, he cant aim very well (by aim...being left or right)...doesn't matter

Long story short, Meeeeeeeeezzzzeeeeee (always wanted to do that)...he was the best Punter in the draft, and one of the best in college history.

We got a good one...and he better stick. Hes prolly bigger than Rouen is (not that size matters...for NFL TEAMS, that is...)

  3. I think it would be great for us to try and develop a really solid punter. Rouen is solid and all, but he's getting up their in age and his leg isn't as strong as it once was.

  4. Funny thing is, this guy is BIGGER in height and weight than our #2 pick, DE Darryl Tapp!

The "directional" thing and a tendency to "overkick" had me concerned, until I read that he can kick field goals in a pinch and can be a LONG KICKOFF specialist too! (I love Josh Brown and all, but we need someone to kick us some touchbacks!)

I'll be willing to be the first Moonlight Graham Award that this kid makes the active roster, if only because the Seahawks must still be lamenting the decision to let another young stud punter, Chris Kluwe go last year.

  5. "Experienced"... of course he's experienced -- he played for Wake Forest!

  6. His coach at WF apparently called nicknamed him Gus the Mule--referring to the mid 70's Disney flick about a football playing mule. ADP is dating himself again. How do you not lead off with reference to that?????

Here's an official plot summary of Gus:

"The California Atoms are in last place with no hope of moving up. But by switching the mule from team mascot to team member, (He can kick 100 yard field goals!) they start winning, and move up in the rankings, Hurrah! The competition isn't so happy."

    Cast of Gus:
Ed Asner, Tim Connway, Don Knotts, Dick Butkus, Dick Enberg, Johnny Unitas, Dick Van Patton, Bob Crane

  7. Official Explanation of what happened to "Gus The Mule's" web site:

When students/faculty/staff leave the University, their web sites are
removed from our servers. They essentially can no longer edit the pages
because they do not have an account with the University.

  9. i dunno Bok im not from the 70s!!! : D

His personal site was ridiculously amateur...again, Sando got to it fast, and there is no way a reporter can do that with everything going on that quickly...im thinking he read it here...i was all over it...and i definitely had no sources...i literally dug it up DEEP in the internet abyss.

Mainly had pictures of him with friends, him punting in practice...and him in class...it literally was amatuerish though...man the first day we made this site, it looked better than his...not a knock...just pointing out how personal it was.
