Robinson pleaded guilty to DUI in exchange for having the blood-alcohol results (a pair of .191s) stricken from the record, and in exchange for having the reckless-driving charge dropped. He gets 365 days in jail with 364 suspended. He gets 24 months of supervised probation. He gets one year with an ignition-interlock device that forces him to take a breath test every time he starts the vehicle. Those are the basics. Story is online.
"I hope you spend the day (in jail) reflecting on what is ahead of you rather than what is behind you," Judge Albert Raines said.
hope he gets his life straight, but he still hurt our team...i still find this a tad easy on him, but at least its something...
ONE DAY IN JAIL? Pathetic. He's not going to learn a thing in one day.
ReplyDeleteFor one, anything 365 days or under lands you in the county jail, where he'll just be signing autographs for bums. The true psychopaths that would tattoo breasts of K-drops' back are in the state pen.
ONE DAY? He'll probably just take a long nap. I guarantee he'll be back in trouble again.
And why in the hell is he getting out of this with a clean record? The dude was begging to have the hammer dropped on him.
ReplyDeleteThis is sad. I honestly think the prosecutor did him - and the public - a dis-service. He's going right back told his old ways for sure.
1 day is what you get for a first offense.
ReplyDeleteI didn't see a thing about any alcohol treatment.
The Raiders will be calling him on the day he gets released. Mark it down.

How does the NFL treat this? He'll probably have to serve a one year suspension, this is his 3rd (4th?) strike. No team is gonna sign him with that hanging around. Can he serve the "suspension" while not on a roster? Or if he gets signed next year (or the year after) will he have to serve the season long suspension? If he has to serve it on roster, his career is over, and I hope he moves somewhere where golf carts are the only mode of transportation, cuz Koren will be partying as long as he can on his rookie $. Hope he has developed a taste for cheap booze.

ReplyDeleteThe Raiders or the Ravens. Baltimore has become the Oakland/LA of the NFL the past almost decade now.
