Who performed well today? Mike Kahn tells us in his report on Seahawks.com:
"Wide receiver Jerome Pathon was catching everything in sight, and so has been running back Mo Morris. Tight end Jerramy Stevens continued to show a lot of progress at tight end, with the kind of breakaway speed that made him special in the first place on his 6-7, 260-pound frame."
Then we have this little tidbit from Mike Sando's Blog:
"Michael Boulware was back at practice and picked off a pass. He looks good."
This is great, considering that there were concerns about his ankle. (He tweaked it yesterday, sitting out the afternoon practice.)
This is what I like to hear -- Seahawks catching balls, on both sides of scrimmage -- not just defense.
Thank you, Tim Ruskell.
As much as the LB competition is being talked about, I am still most worried about #2 and #3 WR, particularly #2. I wonder if my early prediction of WR by committee is gonna hold up. Right now I like Jackson, Pathon, Jurevicius, Urban, Engram and Bannister to make the team, that leaves, what, about 20 other guys out in the cold?
ReplyDeleteAlso, what about our RBs. We kept 5 last year, Shaun is in, Mack is in, one of the rookie FBs is in, Mo, Carter, Lumsden?
Where are the cuts gonna happen?
Last year the breakdown was
QB 3
RB 5
WR 6
TE 3
OL 9
DL 10
LB 7
CB 4
S 3
K 1
P 1
LS 1
I am worried that we may lose quite a few quality players with the mass infusion of FAa and rookies, and possibly cut someone we paid a signing bonus to. I guess it doesn't really matter, just Paul Allens money, but how is it gonna affect the cap.
