You Don't Know Jackson

Mike Sando, our friend at the Trib, report that we have officially signed FB/TE Tony Jackson to a three-year deal.

Fullbacks usually take a while to develop in the NFL. But this guy is going to be a good one, I can feel it.

Just like we speak NOW of what a genius move it was to draft Michael Boulware, a linebacker, and convert him to safety, so it will be about converting this young tight end to a 265 lb. fullback.

Just watch- we'll be using him and Mack Strong in short yardage situations this season. read this scouting report to see what I mean, if you haven't already.

  2. 265 lbs of FB that can block well and catch a little is good. Hope Mack teaches him good.

  3. no, you hope Mack teaches him "well", or that Mack is a "good" teacher!

(I figured since we already covered elementary History, we'd move on to grammar!)

  6. Citizen, about the time we  retired the #12. 12th man. On the team. Hooray for us. j/k btw, and I saw yer wink, just had an answer, and being nice about it didn't sound right, and would be out of character anyway.

Mr. Tate, how'd you find me here? And stop bugging me about gramattical errors, I live in South Kackalacka now, its accepted.

  7. Sorry to drop in on you like that Josh, but you KNOW that the proper use of "good" and "well" has always been one of my pet peeves, and I always expected more of you being one of my "special" students.

Remember, anytime you want to come back and "clean the blackboards" for me again there's five dollars and a cherry coke in it for you!!!

  8. Oh, I know this isn't the real Mr. Tate, he would've offered Taco Bell for that special blackboard cleaning. He's a class act! C'mon now.

  9. C/K, That's funny, I used to tease people about the same thing, and carefully word eveything so that I wouldn't imply a delusion of actually thinking I was on the team, on the payroll or anything.

But now I do have this delusion. It's too late. I'm too involved now. I've fallen into the machine. I even think I'm part of #12, as if anyone in Kirkland even knows my name.

This hasn't sparked any quasi-socio-religious debate, has it? I think I know where you stand on this, C/K...
