Looking ahead... from the uninformed jounalists' point of view.

  1. yeh, I read the SI's the other day, it was pretty fair...easily the best analysis outside of Seattle-based people...

I read on another preivew (i believe it was from ESPN or someone else)...that said our secondary is horrible in coverage, which i think is unfair...Bierria was the reason...with him blowing constant coverage, Trufant/Lucas were left in 2 on 1s with WRs, so of course they struggled a tiny bit...had we've not had several injuries (PR, and our S)...i doubt it would of happened as consistently

    plus..we've addressed that issue...

Imho, we should definitely win the division this year, hands-down. How we'll fair in the playoffs should be interesting as well.

I have to say that after years of being an also-ran, this year's Seahawks look to be the best yet from a mental standpoint, this depsite the fact that last year you could say the same thing, at least on paper.

I think being pegged as an underdog or less-than-stellar will play in the 'Hawks favor - expectations are lower and therefore pressure to perform at extraordinary levels.

But what the hell do I know, I'm just a fan!

  3. I have to agree. From a pure talent standpoint, we are pretty close to where we were at the beginning of last season, when we were picked to do VERY well. Now we are expected to be average.

    I like it.

Having said that, I believe the team us quite a bit better from a character stantpoint. I'm anxious to see the dividends.

  4. Blue said it exactly...

we are probably better, or at least the same on a talent level as last year...

without the added media pressure, we should be a bit better...

i would like to add though, i doubt we will get bombarded with constant harsh injuries, which means some of our guys should be more healthy...automatically making the team better...even IF we get killed with injuries again, we have the depth this time (i realize every team gets several injuries, but im convinced us and the Panthers had it the worse...ironically my two fav teams)

to take the theme song from the used-to-be-tgif show, Step By Step...

    Step by step
Day by day (Day by day)
    A fresh start over
    A different hand to play
    Only time will tell
But you know what they say
    We'll make it better
    The second time around

  5. Lol, you're killing me, nice jingle.

Have you got one for the so-called gay-bashing thread? How about the theme to 'Different Strokes'?

Second thought, that may just make it worse.

  7. I thought both articles were pretty fairly written, esp considering Mr. Roto is writing from a fantasy perspective.

Re Shaun, "He has no leverage, and is given to theatrical entrances "

    Awesome.

  8. Good articles, especially given the current drought we are in....heck a page or two of "Seahawks blah blah blah Seahawks blah blah blah..." would get me to read it! I check the local papers each day just hoping for a sniff of some news about Seahawks football.....

But Mr. Roto needs to learn to spell. He referred to Bobby "Ingram" at least 8 times!
