Yer right Vin, I googled Seahawks Training Camp, it came up with an EWU page that said Aug 2, it must be from last year. What are our college kids doing? They should be inside, updating web pages!
I think the likelihood he signs before camp is low, since the Seahawks can't and won't give him the long term deal and huge signing bonus he's looking for, and I think the organization is waiting to see who may get hurt in training camp to impact his trade value.
Now if Morris or Collins goes down, the likelihood of us signing him goes up.
I think he'll be in a Seahawks uniform for the second game of the season, but I'm holding out a 25% chance that Reinfeldt pulls one more rabbit out of his hat, and gets him to sign a 2-3 year back-loaded deal.
just get one of the FO figures to dress up like a hobo, ask him to give him his autograph on a piece of paper, lift a page up...and have him sign the dotted line
then he'd be screwed
but in a realistic world...i think he plays with the tag this year...obviously i want him to stay until 532, but as a realistic person...i doubt there will be a deal (then again Reinfeldt has been amazing...see what happens when the FO lets him go wild?)
I also think this is his last season as a Hawk, mark my words, no matter how much public stroking that's gone on with Mike, Shaun and the media, I think he wants out of Seattle and they're willing to let him go.
And 31 days till camp. What is the over under on him signing by Aug 2?

Actually the first camp starts July 29th according to Seahawks.com.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd be willing to take that bet, his ego's as big as Jones', so I think it's a 50/50 chance at best.
