Citizen K Likes This Award

When Shaun Alexander fumbled it seemed like a portent of doom. When the league's Most Valuable Pepsquadmember left the game the panorama looked even bleaker. However, an Artist was ready to step in with watercolors a-blazin'. He painted a perfect 29-yard strike to Darrel Jackson for a score. He saw a gap in the defensive coverage, and splashed some Seahawk blue into the dank green of the end zone. His abortive preliminary first-quarter sketches lay the groundwork for a masterwork of profound proportions in the end. That artist: Joe Tafoya.

I mean Matt Hasselbeck, obviously. His strokes were measured, his paints responsive and brilliant, his palette varied enough for any possible conditions. But did Matthew do enough to win the Award? (and how far can Citizen K carry this artist metaphor?) Read more at my awards blog

  3. Nice work as always CK, loved every line.....and what a coincidence that I picked the score to be 31-13.

Panthers get one TD and two FGs.

  4. Meezy - 6:00pm EASTERN, so 3:00 over there i guess...the AFC game is first...so loser of our matchup finishes 3rd!...but is still a loser

Cit - this was a great one...its hard to get around commenting on everyones awards, but i do try to read them when i can...lot of funny stuff in there...San Francisco bathhouse reference was hilarious...

...the question is, since you spoke so highly of them, does Citizen K Like Sacks?...eh i guess i should just save that immature humor for I dunno...a San Francisco Bathhouse?

  5. PositivePaul likes that the Seahawks are 60 minutes away from Detroit! Only two more games left this season :-)

That means, after savoring the beauty of a Super Bowl victory for the Seahawks, next thing ya know, Spring Training appears. And, with that, Citizen K can bespatter his poetic verbosity over at his "other" blog :-)

I'm so jacked! I predicted it, on the nose -- 20-10 Seahawks, going on to play Carolina in the NFC title game, here at QWEST. PositivePaul loves being right -- I knew it would be a physical game where big names could go down with injury.

    60 minutes 'til Detroit!!!!!!!

  6. Great post. I liked the nicknames.

I also like that Carolina has yet to face a veteran quarterback these playoffs. I can't wait for Sunday.

  7. Man, I just got done reading the D.O.G. and the teaser paragraphs for this award, and you guys have REALLY STEPPED IT UP for the playoffs!

CitK, what can I say? Standing and clapping while typing. Outstanding work. Brilliant. Much better than Cats! I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next week.

And as I finished reading your piece, thinking it couldn't get any better, I scrolled down and saw the photo and caption.

WE'RE NOT WORTHY! WE'RE NOT WORTHY!!!
