  1. ESPN's page won't let me copy and paste a couple sections of it, so I just gave the link...

  2. Personally, as I see it, a great move by both teams. I think that should they desire, the Vikes can pick up a very good receiver at the 7 pick, and they get an average/slightly above average Linebacker, and another pick that they could use for a back up defender. For the Raiders, they obviously get the best receiver in football, making their receiving corps (Moss, Porter, Curry, and Gabriel) possibly the best in the league. Good job by both squads.

  3. well the reason why i posted this was because it could affect Seattle...

the Vikings are yet another team after a big named receiver...and this also ends the optimism for Moss coming here in a trade (although there was no mention of anything on that front...just optimism on some fans' part)

  4. Paulie P, you and I rarely disagree on anything, but here's one of those times.
I personally think it was a stupid trade for both teams, here's why.
First, the Vikes didn't even get close to the value back for Moss, not even close. In fact the LBer they got is a talented HEAD CASE, just like Moss, but not nearly as talented. The Raiders, as dysfunctional as they are, to a man wanted to get rid of this guy, he is a huge underachiever. The Seventh pick is nice, but in no way can replace Randy Moss.
Secondly, the Raiders are the last team who should be looking at adding more head cases, no matter how talented.
If the Raiders were a strong team like the Patriots, fine, they could overcome the baggage he brings with him, like the Pats did with adding Corey Dillon last year, but they are not. They are a poor, weak, dysfunctional team already, with no real leadership, and worst of all, no quarterback good enough to maximise Randy's talent. Randy stock should be dropped immediately in every fantasy league just by going to this crappy team, with a crappy QB.
In my opinion, the Raiders simply added more of the problem they already have and the Vikes got far too little in return for Moss's talent.
