  1. Thsi should be the best preseason game yet - the starters will be playing into the 3rd quarter, according to Holmgren.

    What do I personally expect?

    1. Matt Hasselbeck will try to pass three times in a row to somebody.

    2. Lofa will put the clinchers on the starting MLB spot. For that matter, so will Tracy White on the weak side.

    3. Daryl Jackson will have a slow night against Patrick Surtain.

    4. Michael Boulware will struggle against Tony Gonzales, but one good play from Boulware will be worthy of cheering.

    5. Bryce Fisher will have a sack lunch ready for Trent Green.

    6. 15th pick overall Derrick Johnson will be difficult to block, but the rest of the front seven will get pushed around a lot.

  2. Blue...dont give my hopes up with the last part of #2...the thought of Tracy White starting makes me giddy

I think DJack will torch Surtain...great matchup, but im calling out Surtain to come down to earth a little this year

id be shocked if Tony G even played long (are they goin 3 qtrs too?)...this could be good for Boulware's development

i think Johnson will kill us on the run, or in anything involving our QB to stand there with the ball too long...

GB lost their Oline, KC's is getting too old, I officially name us as having the best oline in football

  3. Blue - I took the liberty of creating a graphic to go along with our Gameday Chat feature, to hopefully pull any casual visitors in more obviously.

I've also posted a link to some other chat graphics I borrowed from some other sites.

Hold your mouse over the SeaGal picture to read the small print text in the lower right corner!

  5. I heard last night that goo ol' 'tear ducts' (Vermiel) will keep his starters rolling into the 2nd quarter. Holmgren wants to see his starters playing a drive in the 3rd, so he can check their stamina level and how they bounce back after the half.

I'm with you on White - not only is he the fastest LB, but he seems to be gettign stronger, too. While not doing it as well as Sharper, he is stuffing blockers at the point of attack, and getting in on tough tackles in heavy traffic and piles. That's my kind of player.

    I hope you're right about Jacskon/Surtain.

    And on your OL bandwagon!

  6. And as an added perdiction, I think Tubbs and Darby will be in on a couple sacks themselves.

I'm predicting at least three sacks and a couple ints.

  8. ADP, I have to give the 'best O-line in Football' title to the Colts (I hate those guys). Without them Manning's not half the General he is right now.

No QB should be able to stand in the pocket that long!

  9. Vin...another thing contributing to Manning is the rule they made specifically for him (no contact after 5 yards)...i hate that rule, but they felt the Patriots were too rough a couple years ago and blah blah...

without that rule being in place, Manning wouldnt of broke Marino's record, there is not a doubt in my mind

i am glad that you bring up the Colts, as noone ever puts them up there, though i do think they are up there with their oline

  10. I just came up with a new game. FOr every time Warren Moon says 'put some air under the ball' do ten push-ups to couter the beer weight. Or just drink a beer, either way you win.

  11. i don't know about you but I've seen Lofa get pushed around alot As well as miss some holes which resulted in two big gains.

  13. Well there are some patterns emerging both good and bad through these games, mostly good.
For the bad Josh Brown still can't kickoff to save his life.
Our run blocking has been pathetic in each of the games. Our pass defense still let's up way too many yards, they give up too large a cushion, bend don't break never works. There are still too many dropped passes, though this game alot less.

For the good, Matt Hasselbeck has NEVER EVER looked better, he is already in midseason form and has a FIRM control over this offense. Our starting DTackles are playing out of thier minds. Tubbs and Darby both look spectacular. In fact, until todays game they were stoppping the run cold, whenever those two were in the game.
Our recievers aren't nearly as bad as many people thought they would be, in fact they look better with guys like Hackett, Urban, Jurevicious, etc...making plays.
Stevens in particular looks terrific (I told you guys he would, this is going to be his year, mark it down, fantasy steal) and Darryl and Bobby are tearing it up.
Our punting game isn't as bad as I thought it would be, though our return game is still blah.
