First round draft choice Chris Spencer has signed a multi-year contract with the Seattle Seahawks and is expected to be on the field on the Eastern Washington University campus Wednesday morning.
Nice to see the deal done now our main draftees are in camp and ready to rock. I've said it b4 I'll say it again, this was the best offseason I can remember as a lifelong Hawks fan. Expectations from the media and average Jooe Blow on the street were higher last year, but my expectations are higher this year in many ways. I'll not go out on a limb and pick them to represent the NFC this year, but I would be far less surprised if it happened.
Since the flooble is never working I'll say it here, Man I love the count down to kickoff timer, it gets me all fired up just watching that thing tick down.
That was funny. The news trib was saying that Chris Gray might get some time as center. I'm not sure i like that, if we're spelling Tobeck, shouldn't we get the rook some work?
Now get in there and don't play this year big boy.
That's about right. Check this out from Sando's blog:
"Tobeck looks like his old self. He's very good in space (as they say), meaning he gets downfield quickly and, as a vet, he knows what to do when he gets there. Tobeck will never be a guy who overpowers people at the point (again, a little scout-speak there). He will sometimes be vulnerable to the really big people inside. But overall he is still a solid starting center who brings leadership and toughness. Holmgren said today that Spencer is being groomed for next year. Something unusual would have to happen for Spencer to be the center this season. Also, Holmgren stressed that Spencer will NOT play guard in camp or any other time. He is a center." I asked Sando about the Gray to center issue, here was his response:

Spencer will play center. Holmgren was just saying that Gray might get a few reps at center just so he's ready if called upon. They feel like the OL depth is vastly improved and that's why Spencer doesn't need to dabble at guard. Gray can play all three interior positions if needed. Womack can play either spot on the right side. Locklear could play either tackle position. Holmgren mentioned trying Hunter at guard at some point here. Getting Gray some reps at center, if it happens, doesn't have to come at Spencer's expense. I would expect Spencer to get all kinds of reps in the exhibition season. Holmgren made that clear in his comments today. [ Aug 3, 2005 1:08 pm ] -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- #12 mikesando [ Reply ]
Gray has started at center for the Hawks in the past, by the way. [ Aug 3, 2005 1:08 pm ]
why couldnt i be a fat offensive lineman for the rest of my life?
hey i got a new girl story...you wont believe this...my doctor (shes new) HIT ON ME TODAY!!!...i couldnt believe it when she started massaging me (upper back to my ass)...and kept rubbing on my thigh for a good 5-8 mins (i was there about my back)...shes prolly 30, but not bad at all...nice body, and a matching face...she was freakin tickling me too...unfortunately she left on a sour note because she gave me a needle
bleh...
also, she is going to give me a physical soon...thats going to be REAL interesting
anyways back to the Seahawks...i like the timer thigny, and im anoyed the chatbox thing is screwed up...i had an important personal question to ask...oh well
Yea, but I used it FIRST when we initially drafted him, so I still have the rights to "Spencer for Hire". I think I even posted a pix from the original TV series by the same name.
The only time a doctor hit on me was the time he took my temperature rectally, and he had both hands on my shoulders!!!
Maybe we should start an "In Lieu Of Flooble" thread for all our non-thread worthy comments.
The only time a doctor hit on me, I was six. I lived in Hawaii and had an old Chinese pediatrician named Dr. Mertz. Near the end of the exam he would shove his hand down your pants, fumbling around with the package. I still remember my mom just standing there watching it. If that guy wasn't a doctor he'd sure as heck be arrested for what he would do to us. I still wonder whether or not he really had his medical license, or whether he had been banished from mainland China by the pedo-hating Communists...
I don't think his hittong on me was very successful.
Oh, man... That reminds me of my first DOT physical. Part of the exam is where they check for a hernia, which is the 'turn-your-head-and-cough' bit while they simultaneously grapple the orbs.
The problem was that the NP that gave me the physical was HOT. I mean SMOKING HOT. The kind that gets me all flustered and I can't look her in the eyes HOT. She was blonde, had a short skirt, the tiny heart shaped @$$ of a supermodel and the lips of a porn star.
She told me to drop my drawers and leave on the underwear, and she would do the rest. Needless to say, when she opened the tent, she was greeted by a soldier in full salute.
She was unbelievably professional. She didn't say an extra word, just the ones necessary to do her job, even though you could cut the tension with a knife.
I've never been so embarassed in my whole life. And I never did get to look her in the eye.
this chick is giving me a physical right before my birthday (Sept 9...bday is the 12th)...
maybe ill get a present
i just find it hard to believe a 30 year old chick was rubbing on me like that...it wasnt one of those 'pat you on the knee a few times'...it was FULL RUBBING...weird thing was...the person who drove me there was in the room with us...and she didnt care
i did make sure i hit on her though lol...and ive never had anyone close to 30 years old (im only freakin 18-almost-19)...but i know that THATS their sexual prime
I think Ruskell's taking a Chinese Army approach to the DT position. He's just going to keep rotating in guys until they either kill the opponent or die trying! On the final cut day, I'm afraid our Roster is going to be Matt, Shaun, Sharper and 50 Defensive Tackles! Hell, he's even got THEM returning punts!
Bout f-ing time! Now get in there and don't play this year big boy.

monkey, no kidding, great offseason from about, I dunno, Feb 15th or so. Feb 23rd was a watershed day too.
ReplyDeleteAgree with that Paulie, why move your starting (for now) guard to center, play your backup center...
WTF is up with the shout out/flooble/chatterbox. That sucks, I have several unimportant things to post. I hope you get all that $$$ back Blue...

Boulware's agent has been in contact with Ozzie Newsome about possibly re-signing with the Ravens.

Think he'll get the 2+2 deal they offered him earlier? Betcha not. But I bet he signs there. Too bad, I would have liked him on the Hawks.
