Get Ready To Rummmmmmbbbbbllllleeeee!

From Seahawks.com:
The first fracas of camp came in the morning during a blocking drill with defensive tackle Chuck Darby and guard Andy King. It only lasted about 20 seconds, but it gave an indication of where these guys are at this point of camp. Most were surprised it had taken this long for a fight to break out. There was no harm, and it helps rid some of the anxiety considering how tired they are of hitting each other, and are ready for more games.

  1. Chuckles said  "I wasn't being a leader doing something like that," Darby said. "It was my fault. That was me all the way. I messed up. The guard, he was more than a man."

Way to own up, way to be accountable. Interesting he called him "the guard" and not Andy or King. You'd think he'd know his name after a couple of weeks of camp.

  2. Jamie Gumm: "It rubs the lotion on its skin or it gets the hose again!"

This classic line from Silence of the Lambs indicates that you do not refer to your victims by name, elsewise, you humanize them, making it much harder to filet them so you can make yourself a bitchsuit!

  3. I for one am happy about this. The intensity is there, but at the same time, they are teammates, and know that while tempers flare, they're here for a common goal.

  4. I agree. It says a lot about their state of mind. While it's still not right to act like that, I'd be more concerned as a fan if there were NO altercations.

  6. Thank you ADP for recognizing the SOTL reference. If you like the movie, read the book, it's even better. Actually, his first book in the series, Red Dragon, is the best.

The Edward Norton recent remake of Red Dragon was so-so. The original movie of Red Dragon, called "Manhunter", was made before SOTL, and while staffed with B-actors, isn't too bad. The guy from CSI plays the lead, and Dennis Farina plays the head FBI guy.
