Alan's D.O.G. vs Dallas

As I read over the recaps of this game, still in a bit of disbelief, I find myself asking the same question: does anybody out of Seattle realize what happened?

In 31 NFL cities today, fans will read that Seattle beat Dalls 13-10 on a last second field goal. Some might even recall that the Seahawks were three point favorites, so no big deal. They did what they were suppoed to.

In Seattle though, we know differently. We didn't do what we usually do.

Gameday chat was full of things like, "Why do we come out flat in respect games?". It had all the makings of a typical Seattle heartbreaker: the win within sight, but then have the door slammed shut before the team realizes it.

Even Mother Nature had planned on it being just another loss for the Hawks. She had the post game drizzle all set for the fans to walk home in. It turned out to be a victory shower.

I can't settle for just one D.O.G. We need two, one on each side of the ball. The defense played way to well for this to be a one award game.

  1. couldn't agree more. And AWESOME idea at the end there. Philly's got the Rocky statue. Chicago's got Michael Jordan. Now Qwest field will have an equally stellar iconic figure in front of the stadium!

  2. Nice work, as always. Have to agree with your choice of 2 drives, and I know you mentioned it, but if this were a democracy, I would vote for "One last drive that ranks up there: 1 play, 0 yards, 0:05. Result: Josh Brown 55 yard field goal. 13-10 Seahawks. " as the DOG. Alas, the DOG is a dictatorship, and we must trust the all wise, all knowing Alan on DOG matters. Thank you, praise Alan, yada yada yada...

  4. Yin & Yang; Teeter & Totter.

Hass' started the game with a great drive -- but got a rare deep pick. Big Mo' deflated.

Hass' ended the game leading a charge, driving the O deep -- and got the clutch, game-tying TD. Big Mo' back on our side.

Rewind a few weeks -- Josh Brown attempts a last-minute FG from roughly 50 (give or take 3 yards). Bangs the goal post and falls out. No Good. Game not over. Big Mo' deflated.

Fast-forward to yesterday -- Josh Brown attempts a last-minute FG from roughly 50 yards (give or take 3 inches). Splits the uprights. Good. Game Over! Hawks Win!

Good times to be a 'Hawks fan, dat's 4 SURE!
