Hello America, We're the Seattle Seahawks!
This is our first opportunity to introduce the National audience to the rebuilt, refocused, retooled and rededicated Seattle Seahawks. Dreamt last night of a 63-0 blowout, so let's hope that was prophetic.

GO SEAHAWKS!!!
Alright, I know everyone was looking forward to the NFC West Update and all that. But, it was midterm week. Instead of looking up stats on our rivals, I was buried in books.
ReplyDeleteThe other thing I was going to post was why this game scares me just a little. The Texans are a winless team, and in this age of parody, teams don't go winless. There will be a lot of frustrated players on the opposite sideline today. We have to come out strong, and crush their spirits early.
I wold make the whole "Letdown after big win over the Rams" argument, but I doubt it will happen. Did you see the post game celebration? It was nothing. After what would have been an emotional win against any team, but against our rival no less, helmet raising, jumping and dancing would have been expected. But, the Seahawks shook hands and jogged off the field. As one Seattle Times columnist pointed out, you had to look at the scoreboard to verify that Seattle had won.
Still, you can never overlook an opponent in the NFL, and tonight is no different. On paper we should own these guys, but thats why they play the games.

If Houston amounts over 400 total yards on us...or if they just win in general...i will once again have doubts...if we win...great
ReplyDeleteDallas next week will be tough...but its time to excercise the demons...imagine how exciting it would be to get revenge on the Rams AND the Cowboys!...
But yeah...Houston first...im not ignoring them like i did with Washington

"this age of parody " Parity.
ReplyDelete"its time to excercise the demons" Exorcise.
Sorry, drunk and will not accept grammar errors tonite (tonight!!!) Hooray Hawks! Silly Texans, wins are for teams with O-lines.

I for one always love a nice pun. Houston's team IS a parody. So is thier O line
ReplyDeleteand their line certainly didnt excercise, since they were watching the Hawks D'line blast past them.
4 TD's for SA. could have been 6 or 7
wish the Seahawks played on every Sunday night

the Texans got all their points from taking risks on 4th downs...they always say that good teams with big leads should take risks...so should sucky teams with big deficits...
ReplyDeleteive never seen a team go on 4th downs as much as they did...and it definitely made the game more fun to watch for non-Seahawks fans...
and Mo Morris...man...i cannot describe how proud I am of him...i wished i taped it, wish i wanted to...im gonna remember this game for a long time...2 great games for us in a row...

oh and Josch...for a guy with grammar morals...you spelled 'Josh' wrong!
ReplyDelete:P
I hope it's three in a row... The Dallas game is another hallmark for us. I'm glad it's at home.
