And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming!

As of last night, the BYE week is officially concluded, which means it's time to get back to the business of locking up the NFC West.

We won't have Mr. Brenda to bat around this week, but with Boldin hurting and the rest of the team being pretty much the same as in September, this should be more like the Houston game, and less like the Cowboys.

The team has been doing a GREAT job of shedding monkeys like Madonna sheds her clothes, so it's time to break the game-after-the-bye-week curse, especially with the Rams hanging around like the ugly best friend of the hot chick you're trying to take home after the party.

It will be nice to hear ACTUAL Seahawks news coming out of Kirkland, after a 5 day hiatus that felt more like a month. And it will feel so good to shut up the media blowhard pundits like Mike Ditka and Michael Irvin as the Seahawks take care of the first of a three game sweep of NFC West opponents.

That all being said, we can't take any of the three teams lightly, as we saw what can happen to teams that do. Just ask the Buccaneers, who this morning have to be feeling like the lone alterboy who accidentally wandered into a room filled with defrocked priests.

GO SEAHAWKS.

  1. nice quotes, Alba

Gotta say...I, like Alan...am admittedly worried about the Rams... they have 4 wins, and here is why:

    Ten : Refs
    NO : Refs
    Ari : Brainfart Kurt
Jax : Who the hell knows

I cant believe Jacksonville played their worst this season, and couldnt stop the Holtless, Bulgerless, Bruceless, Invisible Oline and the worst defense in the nfl (I truly believe so)...what the hell? To think I thought the Jaguars were thinking top 5 NFL but thought wrong...unbelieveble...I feel betrayed

The Rams have a weird luck thing going...and it will be humiliating for them to come on our home turf and get us back...we wont have DJack this time, and Holt, Bulger, AND Bruce will most likely be there...

We HAVE to beat SF and Ari though...especially both of them...and even more importantly...BOTH...i mean, especially BOTH...

I am a little worried...we are the Seahawks...they are the Rams...and how long can this dream last...

But for anyone who is worried the dream is in jeopardy...

    Remember the Sonics.

  3. I don't want to focus on Mutton Bowl II yet. We have the Cardinals to worry about (yes, worry about)

You can't overlook anyone in the NFL. the Texans won yesterday (over the Browns, but still...they won). The Cardinals will be a desperate team this week. They need a win to keep their dying playoff hopes alive.

More on this in my NFC West update. That will be posted later today (damn needing to go to class...Really, whats more important? College degree or scouting the NFC West?)

Oh, and just another point to the don't overlook anybody. The 49ers notched their second win of the season. They now have wins over a 4-3 team (St. Louis) and a 5-2 team (Tampa Bay).

  6. "Jacksonville played their worst this season " Looking past maybe? I dunno, thats the excuse everybody uses for any other surprise... I picked Jax to win...

And if I corrected you every time I saw a grammar/spelling error, people might think I am CONCEITED... and you must concede that I am not.
