Alba's Dark Angel Award: Week 3

Due to an out of town commitment, this award was not presented last week, but we're back and better than ever now in Week 3. When you take a 35-3 lead late into a game, there are a lot of good choices for the Dark Angel, even when you let the inferior team put up 27 unanswered points in the 4th quarter.

Once again, SimpleHawk and I got together to watch this game at the same local watering hole where we witnessed Jay Feeley miss 3 game winners last year, but I hesitate to bestow this award on the two of us, even though we obviously were channeling good "mojo" all the way from MyPlace in Castelton!

  1. You could also give the award to Sims. There wasn't any real drop-off when he went in for Chris Gray, and no one said much about it.

  2. Good stuff, alba.

I can't remember the last time I saw a lineman come in on his first start and have such an impact. Example: The first touchdown via Alexander - They ran a play I hadn't seen the Seahawks run in a long time - an inside trap, with Spencer pulling inside and destroying his man, with Strong and Shaun right behind. It was impressive.

  3. With Gray out with a knee injury, I think we're witnessing "a changing of the guards at BuckingHolms palace!"
