Losing Two MVPs in One Week SUCKS!

Lost in the hoopla surrounding Shaun Alexander's left foot, and all the media coverage of so-called curses, is the fact that Bluefoot, the 12 Seahawks Street founder and MVP (most volatile pundit), has left the building.

If you take a quick glance to the lower left corner of this site he recently redesigned, you will no longer see his name listed as a Contributor. He has also dropped his account over at SeahawkBlue.com.

For anyone who didn't frequent the SeahawkBlue forum, Bloof assumed the identity of Mr. Incredible over there, as illustrated by his many different avatars incorporating this image.

I've received an email from him which explains that he was just spending too much time on-line, time taken away from his job and his family, so he's taking a much needed and deserved respite from the internet.

Hopefully he'll rest up fast and return to his normally scheduled cynicism and scathing humor, but there's also the distinct possibility that he won't be back at all.

Thankfully, he built this blog which attracted some of the most knowledgeable and opinionated Seahawks fans on the planet, and this group will continue to forge ahead, carrying the flag for this premiere Seahawks web site.

I don't think he's even lurking any longer, but if he is, I wanted him to see that he'll be missed, and that we all appreciate what he's contributed to Seahawks blogdom.

God Speed, Bluefoot, to us you'll always be Mr. Incredible.

  3. Positive Paul and myself are examples that tempering one's blogging is possible. Good luck to Bluefoot; hopefully he can do the same.

  4. You'll be missed Bluefoot. You're stories, wit-icisms, and tars were very entertaining for me. Won't be the same without you. I wish for everything to turn out the way you want them to. Hope you will return someday.

We are? You haven't talked to my wife lately. Oh, well, seems she's caught the bug herself (she spends more time on the computer at home than I do) ;-)

Indeed, it's important to find the proper balance. Sometimes you have to tilt the scales the opposite direction pretty fiercly in order to find that balance. A lesson to all of us, for sure!

Anyone paying attention to Sando's blog right now? I'm very curious to see the juxtaposition of the Shaun Alexander developments with the latest T.O. story.

  7. That's relatively speaking, of course. I didn't mean that you/I live spartan, lacktech existences. But in earlier days I'd Ctrl-Tab to my blogs every alternating minute, and I think you did the same. Now it's more like every alternating quarter-hour, and most times I don't post. Balance is indeed the key.

  12. Shaun's a nice fella, and I appreciate his faith in me, but if I was backing up the Seahawks, what do you think the score would be?

Besides, my M.O. leads people OUT of Egypt!

Hey, the avatars link to a bunch of red x's. Not fun.

Have any of you seen Koren around? T.O. called last night, I just turned my back for a minute, and now he's gone again...
