Alexander confident of new deal?

"I'm asking him to come in," running backs coach Stump Mitchell said. "I'm like, 'Shaun, we got 1,700 (rushing) yards last year; we probably can get 2,000 this year.' But he just laughs at that and says he thinks we're going to get something done in early July and be there for training camp."

  1. Damn, Irish, now I've got East coast competition! I usually am the first one up, geographically speaking, and actually thought about posting this item.

Well, just like the Seahawks WRs are finding out, a little competition will either raise my game, or send me packing by seasons start!

  3. how do you use a symbol in a conversation as a name? 'have you heard *prince's symbol*'s new song? confusing stuff

  4. You're right Payroll, I forgot you're from "Kiperland". Don't make me move to Europe just to maintain my early morning posting advantage!!!

Back on the issue of SA, it's good to see that he is in communications with Stump, so the dialog is continuing even if the negotiations are not.

As you look around the league, with players getting injured like the Bills TE or Kellen DIMSlow in Cleveland, you never know what may happen where a team is in need of a feature back.

I'll be just as happy to see him in our backfield next year though too.

  5. If he says he is confident of a deal, I would think maybe he has lowered his expectations. I think originally he wanted a 6 year deal, but there is no way they would commit to that, he'll be 34 by the end of that. I bet he is thinking more of a 4 year deal, and if he's smart it will be essentially level pay through the end, like Rudi Johnsons.

I don't think he is all that mad anymore, if he ever was.

Also, I am on the east side... yo. Although we are a little slower "don heah".

  6. Face it alba, it has nothing to do with east coast, but rather the fact that you are simply quicker than everyone else, LOL!

  7. That's right too SJoshC...which if Payroll is from "KiperLand" then you must be from "HootieLand"!

And Monkey, I hope you meant the "quicker than everyone" compliment in terms of "smartest guy on the blog" and not in terms of "Mrs. Wistrom"!!!

  8. Hootieland, nice. Well, we certainly are proud of him. If you haven't seen his commercial, trust me, you have to.

I read somewhere that Chris Rock sent him a check for $100 after seeing this on TV.

  9. Never saw the "extended dance" version before. Talk about a bad acid trip flashback.

However, if I'm sending a $100 check to anyone, it's the red onion girl!!!

And what's up with Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders...it ain't the 70s anymore!

Oh yea, I forgot, ours are ugly!

in Kiperland, everyone is wrong, and the opposite is right!

'im George, im bald, i have no job, and i live with my parents'

    'im victoria...hi'
