Wistrom Ready!

Click the picture to go to Seahawks.com"Grant Wistrom" or the external link for the original story.

According to USA Today, Inside Scoop: Seahawks defensive end Grant Wistrom appears ready to pick up where he left off before he was slowed by leg injuries last season. He even beat Pro Bowl tackle Walter Jones in a pass-rush drill, something Jones almost never loses. ...

Well, I'm impressed! Anyone beating out Jones in any kind of pass rush drill seems ready to me!

I am having visions...visions of Wistrom and Tubbs stepping up and being the players we had hoped they would be last season and the Hawks laughing all the way to the Super Bowl. Oh wait...nevermind, that was just myself flying out of my Clayton.

  1. I threw the link on the picture just to say that we are directing traffic to the place I got the picture from, like that?

  2. That's exciting, it's good to see Wistrom healthy.

  3. Like I've said...if we could pick up Boulware, and keep Wistrom, Spencer, Tubbs and the rest healthy our defense could really finally take off and be the team we were expecting last season.

    Go Grant! GO HAWKS!

  4. Monkey, not to be a pain in the ass, but I edited your post to be more within the realm of the blogger guidelines and "Good Enough for Google" rule.

    Here's what I did:

    1. in Compose mode, condensed the image down to more of a Thumbnail size
    2. change the hot link for clicking on the image to be the full image page on Seahawks.com
    3. put the quoted text from USA Today in italics

Since you already hot linked to the USA Today source article in your title, it's really not necessary to also hot link the USA Today text, but I usually like to do both.

  5. I think we have a better team this year then last,
if we get more out of the linebackers corps this year we can make a seriou run in the playoffs.I think we'll
get more out of Bryce fisher then the "experts" say.
we have about ten defensive tackles I think Woodard
is a June first casualty of cap.

  6. i agree with Shonuff with everything regarding Fisher...

i dont see any notable June 1st cut other then the obvious Bobby Taylor one...unless we sign Boulware...in which case, I dont know who to look at...Woodard is a possibility, but im sure there are more probable options

a hot rumor is that Bobby Engram could possibly be cut...he may be my 3rd overall player on the current Seahawk roster, but he is the one guy i would least want to leave this team...hes earned the right to be one of our WRs...

    my projection for WRs:

    D Jack (1)
    B Engram (3)
    J Juriviscious (4)
    J Urban (5)
    A Bannister (6)

which leaves K Rob and J Pathon to compete...K Rob will get the final spot if he doesnt screw up, if not...then hes gone...K Rob would be the #2...if he leaves, then Pathon grabs the #2 (for speed purposes, even though he would be our 4th best overall WR)
