A Viscious Expectation

In the latest video interview on Seahawks.com, free agent wide receiver Joe Jurevicius divulges what really made him choose to sign with the Seahawks:

"I know this team has an opportunity to get to the Super Bowl, and that was one of the determining factors in coming to Seattle,"

It's a pretty good interview, where he also talks about choosing the Seahawks due to the similarities in the offense scheme.

  1. Call me crazy, but everytime I hear this guy, I get the feeling that he may be the single most important piece to the puzzle that we picked up in free agency this offseason. I can't even really put my finger on exactly why I feel that, I just know how clutch he was for the Bucs in the playoffs, and I still think there will be a fairly big shakeup in the reciever corps leaving JJ to play #3 reciever at least. Maybe I am nuts, but I just get the feeling that because of his hands and his size that Hasselbeck is really gonna click with this guy and develop a big time TD combination with him.

  2. I can't help but think that there is no way that guy is saying those things. He just plain looks goofy, but sounds so professional. I agree that he'll have a big impact in the redzone, but I am beginning to think that we'll have all of our WRs playing in different groupings depending on the situation. There will no longer be a #1, 2, 3, 4 WR, there will be 6 #2a type guys, with lots of 3 and 4 WR sets. I think this just because you can't sit these guys on the bench much, too much talent. And the less I hear about Karen, the more I think she is doing well. Imagine a redzone package with her, Vicious, Stevens and Fatty... tough to cover, although it better be outside the 5 or Shaun will get weepy.

  5. Not everyone cares about the Ms, especially a football player transplanted from TB. Hell, I didn't notice till you mentioned it. After all, it's baseball. :)
