Holy &%$#! What a dream I was having.

***DREAM SEQUENCE***

In Pork Chop's absence, Locklear gets a good handle on the right tackle position, and earns the starting spot.

Pork Chop gets put in at his old natural position, right guard, where Chris Gray is frequently outmatched physically. Gray becomes second fiddle.

Our #1 draft pick, Chris Spencer, usurps Robbie Tobeck's starting spot at center at about game five.

After game five, the offensive line, having become strong all the way across scrimmage, begins pounding defenses into submission and gives Alexander a 2,000 yard season. Hasselbeck enjoys pressureless Sundays. We run through the playoffs and Holmie saves his job for another year, and I'm a very happy camper.

Why did I have to wake up?

  1. Blue - roll over, hit the schnooze button, and I don't want to see you awake or out of bed until after the game on Sunday!

That beats the dream I had last night about the "naked chick with boxing gloves". Not only was she an animal in bed, but since she doesn't eat that much, I got to finish her dinner too!

And seeing that picture of your bedroom, I made note of how neat and clean it is, which causes me to have great concerns over your toilet training as a youth!

  2. Dream... or premonition? That doesn't seem to far out to me.

That bedroom is fantastic, but I bet its a little awkward bringing the ladies in there...

    Nice throw momma reference.

"Owen, what are you doing on the ledge?"
"What do you think I'm doing...handing out the Watchtower?"

    Classic!

  7. This right side of the line bugs me more than Seattle pass rush situation, by far. Check out this from USAToday.com:

"Keys to the game: The Falcons will come out and pound the ball on the ground. Can the Seahawks stop it? Rookie MLB Lofa Tatupu had a solid opener, but the entire linebacking corps must have a solid game wrapping up QB Michael Vick. Seattle should have the advantage when Atlanta passes, but the Seahawks corners are coming off a disappointing opener. The Falcons' focus defensively will be on shutting down RB Shaun Alexander, who they held to 80 yards last year. When Alexander is ineffective, defenses can attack the weak right side of Seattle's offense line. QB Matt Hasselbeck made several poor decisions under pressure against Jacksonville"

This unfortunately seems to be an accurate analysis.

I just don't get what Holmie sees in Chris Gray. Sure he's consistent, doesn't get injured much, penalized, etc., but DT's are running through him like crap through a goose.

  8. Blue, the thing is, Alexander is rarely ineffective. I think he'll get his carries this game, and we'll be in the game all game. I suspect this will be a blowout to a degree, we can score on them because our offense is that good, they'll score on us because their offense is pretty good, very unpredictable, and our D isn't quite there yet. Our secondary should be able to handle the Falcons WRs, Crumpler is the only real threat. If they get a pass over 30 yards to anyone but Crumpler... I don't know, maybe our secondary is overrated? Probably not the players, but the scheme.

  9. Probably not the players, but the scheme.

Actually, I'm hoping that Marshall will have more input to the gameplan and the scheme this week. I've not been a fan of Rhode's style, and was sorry to hear on Marshall say on week one that "it's Ray's game plan, I'm just tending it". I haven't heard that this week, so maybe this guy will try some stuff, like blitzing often and from different positions, and playing tighter bump and run coverage, that big Ray has been hesistent to do.
