Jeb's Feet Hucked Up!

From Mike Sando's Blog:

Jeb Huckeba Goes on IR
The Seahawks, in announcing the signing of Peter Warrick, revealed that rookie DE Jeb Huckeba has gone on injured reserve, ending his season. So, the DE position is really interesting now. Huckeba has stress fractures in both feet. That is news. I knew he had a knee bothering him but the foot issues were not known.

Well, this explains the trade for the dude from the Bears. I really thought he (Huck) had a shot at making the team. Hopefully he'll be alright and be able to come back for us next year.

  1. This is really too bad. I really liked what I have seen so far from Jeb, though granted he still had a long ways to go, he showed some promise.

  3. That was my "crap", and to expand on that, Joe Tafoya, Christian Mohr, Kevin Emanuel and my soon to be adopted "Sackmaster" are not good, not that Huck-a-bee was all that, but crap. I really hope a good backup DE comes free. ADP, you got a list together yet? Pretty messed up that Cochran and Woodard are the best available... crap.

  4. I've switch the Kool-Aid to an intravenus drip, and am choosing to remain calm and keep the faith in the front office. There's a ton of guys who will be put on the street next week and hopefully a few of them will be salvageable DE/DTs that can give us some depth.

Either that, or maybe we can trade a WR or two to a team looking for that kind of help for a proven defensive starter.

Or maybe monkeys will just fly out of my "Clayton"!

    Nurse...come quick...I'm crashing....600 CCs of Fruit Punch...STAT!!!!

  6. Here's the list  of who was cut on Tuesday. Nobody of note on there. Not sure who is due to get cut on Saturday, but hopefully someone worth getting will be.

  7. as much as i'd prefer to wait for the next round of cuts...Adrain Dingle intrigues me as a good 4th DE (maybe 3rd if there is noone else)

dont like him or not, he is an upgrade over some of the guys we have going into the season

  8. Dingle? There's a nickname waiting to happen somewhere in there.

This REALLY sucks for Jeb. How do you get past stress fractures in the feet, without quitting football? If he has it this early in the season, in his CAREER for that matter, it just worries me that he might have a genetic weakness, and this may be it for him.

I hope not. He's got a cool name.
