  1. 25 handicap. I think that is better than normal for me. I rated it a 7 out of 10, not the most difficult, but good nonetheless. Thanks alba.

  2. No, no, thank YOU JoSCh.

Unsolicited feedback like this helps keep me off the streets at 2:00am in my hot pants and stelletto heels!

  5. i have no idea how it does the scoring/handicap stuff...

that was pretty hard to me, mainly because i never heard of words like 'cathartic' or whatever...i took a WILD guess on it and managed to guess right, but still...never heard of that word in my life

couple others confused me, but all in all, another enjoyable one, thats doable (newspaper crosswords could learn a few things)

  6. Don't you just hate it when you do something new and fun, and then realize later that it was actually educational??!!

CATHARTIC is a form of the word CATHARSIS, which is described as:

    1. A purifying or figurative cleansing of the emotions, especially pity and fear, described by Aristotle as an effect of tragic drama on its audience.
    2. A release of emotional tension, as after an overwhelming experience, that restores or refreshes the spirit.
    3. A technique used to relieve tension and anxiety by bringing repressed feelings and fears to consciousness.
The therapeutic result of this process; abreaction.

Now, doesn't that aptly describe what the Seahawks must be feeling now that they're catching passes, holding leads, and pressuring QBs on defense?

  8. I'll have to work that into a future Crickler, but technically Nirvana is a state of total euphoria, so that's not appropriate until we kick some Lamb Shank in St. Loser!
