Seahawks Outreach for Disaster Relief

If any denizen of 12 Seahawks Street was wondering what they can do to help the situation in New Orleans, check out this item from the Seahawks.COM web site:

Seattle Seahawks fans are encouraged to offer monetary donations to benefit Northwest Medical Teams in its mission to assist those affected by Hurricane Katrina. The NFL has already donated $1 million to the American Red Cross, Commissioner Paul Tagliabue announced today.

Over 100 volunteers, including board member Kathy Holmgren, will be stationed at all gates and Touchdown City before this Friday night’s game vs. Minnesota. Kickoff is slated for 6 p.m.

Fans may also donate online through the Northwest Medical Teams’ web site at www.nwmedicalteams.org or call 1-800-959-4325.
