Seahawks Gameday

All right, I'M FIRED UP. ARE YOU FIRED UP? ARE YOU READY FOR SOME SEAHAWKS FOOTBALL!!!

We've been waiting for this day for, well, about seven days now. All the things we've been ranting about over the past week -- the turnovers, blocking, blitzing, the field position -- we'll see if the 'Hawks can change it around today on the field.

Won't you join us today in LIVE GAMEDAY CHAT?

All Seahawks fans welcome, no membership, no registration. The fast-loading 'Super Flooble' has been replaced by an even faster Tag-Board, with some features I think you'll enjoy. Just click on the #12 Jersey above and you'll be in business.

In the meantime, enjoy these featured links:

  1. Way to step up, check, when our cagey veteran blog master was unavailable at gametime! Sorry I couldn't participate. Did anyone? How'd the new chat thing work? Looks cool.

How come we can't put teams away...we were within one tweaked hammy of losing that thing. Another good day defensively, and Matt bounced back as expected.

Looks like the team has been monitoring these sites, as there were many more screen passes, and even a little razzle dazzle on Special Teams with the pooch-punt.

Of course, the refs stepped up and didn't disappoint either...that first Falcon fumble was a FUMBLE dammit! They called everything against us except "illegal televising a game in a city that is usually blacked out!"

  2. Dunno if anyone noticed, but I watched it on Fox...and the commentators wanted to see the chrome on the bottom of Vick's shoes...

when they finally got a shot...they computerized our logo on the bottom and laughed and laughed and laughed...

but wow what a game...refs are stupid...my excedrin bottle could referee better...they screwed us the entire game, with the two most annoying being the fumble and the 20 quick penalties to screw up our drive at the end and give Atlanta another chance...

i know for a fact that all Seahawks fans either cried or groaned as the final 3-4 mins hit...

    but some encouraging thoughts:

Anyone notice yet that we are a better team then Philly? Anyone notice yet that they only beat sucky teams, and are 1-4 against great teams in the last 2 years? Anyone notice we shut Atlanta down all day...Anyone notice that we have more then 2 weapons on offense unlike Philly...so we're not as one dimensional...

    ok rant over...BUT

    Coach Jim Mora:

“They have an outstanding defense,” Falcons coach Jim Mora, said. “I thought Seattle’s defense played inspired, played hard and tackled well. They didn’t let us run the football. They made plays and they had high energy.”

thats the most important thing in this game...with Stevens coming 2nd, and Holmgren's trickery being 3rd (did he actually use a trick punt? unbelieveable...)

that was the most exciting half (1st half) ive seen since the Rams first half last year (but this time a better result)

ARIZONA IS UP NEXT...unlike Jacksonville and Atlanta, im not intimidated at all by the Rocky Horror Picture Road Show...i thought we'd kill the Jags, but i wasnt shocked they beat us...i WOULD BE SHOCKED if the Cardinals came within 10 points of us...

this is where our offense racks up big points...im talking 30 plus easily...

  3. One of "alba's keys to success" is winning ALL the games you SHOULD, and a couple of those you SHOULDN'T.

Even though we were a point-and-a-half favorite, I'm chalking up yesterday as one of the games we weren't supposed to win, but did.

Next week is one of the games we SHOULD win.

Let's hope we don't suffer the same kind of "let down" that I'm sure all the pundits will site as the cause of the Falcon's poor performance, not giving us any of the credit.

This is the kind of momentum builder that I want to see carry through not only to next week, but through Washington so we show up in St. Louise on an unbelieable roll...and then just keep ROLLING!

  5. You keep blowing sunshine up alba's skirt and you may find yourself the next winner of a Moonlight Graham award!!!

I am SOOOO fired up! I kind of feel like I've been on the practice squad for 30 years and I'm finally getting my chance to start.

Before I got DTV I was really just admiring the Seahawks from afar, only getting scores and the scant morsels the media would feed me, and maybe seeing them play 2-3 times on national TV, usually against superior opponents.

Now that I've got DTV, the internet, the fan forum, and this blog, I feel like I've got my finger on the pulse of this team, and more insight than ever before about its heart and soul.

Yes, I am fired up, and I agree that we should do fine against the redbirds.
