This is a great story

I was looking at the Seattle times this morning and found this story. I have been called a doom sayer, negative, and not a fan of the Hawks...But i think that this story by Steve kelly really sums up how I feel!

Just click the link and you'll get a great story! Now is the time! For "What we do today...echo's in internity"

  1. GOX - you're right. I think that very accurately describes how long suffering Seahawks fans really feel. Steve Kelley does good stuff every now and then.

  2. If you don't agree with that article, you obviously have no expectations for success. Three playoff losses isn't success, nor is winning a division with a 9-7 record.

  3. Success, at least for me, it getting better every year. Have the Seahawks? Not really. Do they need to win at least one playoff game this year? Yes. Is firing Mike Holmgren an option if they don't? I suppose, but who to replace him with? Obviously there will be somebody else to pick, but why will they have more success than Big Show?

I will go on record with this, mediocrity (see Seahawks, Seattle) is the worst thing for a football team. Obviously you didn't win, and you end up with less motivation that a losing football team, because "Well, we were pretty good". You also get worse draft choices, and if you ask me, that has been the primary problem for this team.

  4. You're almost better off being TERRIBLE than PRETTY GOOD cuz at least the TERRIBLE teams get high draft choices the following year.

Our 6-year marathon at the "mendoza line" has kept us at the mediocre selection point in the draft, and really kept us from bringing in high impact young players over the years. Couple that with some boneheaded selections, and it's no suprise we're not remarkably better each year.

I still think we can right this ship and do well this season, but if we can't win 10 games, I'd rather just win 2 - both contests against the Rams - and retool.
