No worries...I wont put any lyrics to the horrific Bye Bye Bye song from NSYNC or whoever...
I would love to share for you fans out there...THE BYE WEEK CURSE...IS OVER.
NO MAS...
Another monkey off our back...we win another division road game, and sweep the division favorite going into the year...how you like it media??!?! HUH HUH?!?!?
Game Notes:
-Tubbs left with a strained calf, who knows how long he will be out
-Alexander appears to be ok, obviously if you watched the second half
-Seattle went another game avoiding a 100 yard rusher...the leading Cardinal rusher had 40 yards!
-49ers lost, pretty much eliminating them, if they ever had a chance
CELEBRATE...karma is on our side now!
UPDATE...BREAKING NEWS: The Eagles have signed Brian Westbrook to a 5 year extension...

not to mention most of the close calls going our way.
ReplyDeleteLoving this momentum. Hope we don't let down against the Rams and 49-ers, especially sice I'll be in Monster Park in two weeks cheering on the NFC West champs.

Re: the Westbrook resigning.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we need Bobby Engram to start questioning Matt's ability on national media shows, and that will force the team to lock up Shaun long-term!!!
Oh that's right, the national media doesn't pay attention to us.
Nevermind!
lol I just figured id bring that up too, about Westbrook, since he was the heavy favorite to come here if Shaun leaves...I was one of them, too...though I prefer Shaun first...
ReplyDeleteThe rams will be full strength against us, but we get to play them with Engram this time, who should be nonrusted...we also should have Dyson with plenty of reps at CB...plus we're at home, where we are 4-0, and they are 1-3 on the road...
If we beat them, the division is closed...and we should sweep the division...VERY FEW teams get to say they swept their division in a season, that alone is worth recognition

I think the difference in the Rams games is a healthy Fisher and Wistrom.

Alba, great point also....the calls going our way .....another 'buggaboo' from last season, and others wiped from the Hawk's 'past'...did anyone mention, this is NOT "Those" Hawks.
ReplyDeleteBarkeep! More koolaid for my men.
ReplyDeleteMountain Dew for my man ADP. ;)
Yes the curse of the bye week is gone. But i gotta say i was gettin a little spooked after that TD catch by Bryant Johnson, But the Seahawks did a great job to comeback, score and shut down any hope they had left. Rams is gonna be a good game, they have actually been running the ball so we will see what happens, but i still say the Hawks win by atleast 10. The front office seriously needs to re-sign Alexander. Westbrook got an extention, J. Lewis sucks, we aren't gonna be able to draft R. Bush the running back market seems to be getting smaller. Lets hurry up and give him an extention. Lets go SeaHawks.
ReplyDeleteP.S loves the 88 yard td run.

Don't hate me but........
ReplyDelete173 yds minus the 88 yd run equals 85 yds, on 22 carries, let's see, that's 3.9 yds per carry, or something like that.
Don't go spending our off-season money so quickly.

I know, I know....Boooo....hissss, burn him at the stake! (and all that)
ReplyDeleteBut it has to be said, in case they don't pull the trigger on this signing.....we have to be aware of why they may not "jump" to get him on the team 'long term'.
Don't hate the messenger, I'm just saying......
Vinnie, but if you take away the 85 yards on 22 carries he averaged 88 ypc! I don't see the point in *taking away* yards, it doesn't make sense. If you take away all the long runs Shaun has you still have an average RB. If you include the long runs, and why not, he did perform them, then you have an exceptional RB. I'd rather have a guy that gets decent yards consistently and has the talent to break a home run.
ReplyDeleteWhat would you buy with the offseason money?

What would you buy with the offseason money?
ReplyDeleteUh, I don't know...how about those 2 Panther Cheerleaders??!!
Posted by alba
Don't kill the messenger, vinny, but I just read a article from a NY newspaper that cites Shaun is a legit NFL MVP candidate.
ReplyDeleteYes, the Seahawk's Shaun Alexander.
Oh, but Mo Morris is just as good. [eyeroll]

"how about those 2 Panther Cheerleaders " I believe a *word up* is called for. I'll trade all the RBs on the roster for a couple of them kitties.
ReplyDeleteBlue, got a link? What paper. Whatever, doesn't matter much, cuz I don't believe anything the ECB sources write anyway. But he is on pace to beat Priest Holmes TD record of 27, and is the leading rusher in the NFL...

Did you know that if Shaun didn't play in the NFL, he wouldn't be a legitimate candidate for NFL MVP?
ReplyDeletePosted by alba
Did you know that if Shaun played basketball rather than football, his scoring average would be way down, since he would only get two points instead of 6?
ReplyDeletePosted by alba
alba said it best!
ReplyDeleteonly I wouldnt have to pay ;)
I'll go on a limb and say that SA will be signed to a multi-year contract by the time Seattle clinches a playoff spot.

You know if those cheerleaders were men instead of women, we'd all have an entirely different reaction to that story!!!
ReplyDelete(in case you weren't on the GameDay thread, this is all good natured ribbing at Vinny who suggested "you know, if you remove those 88 yards from Shaun's rushing total, he only averaged like 4 yards a carry" or something foolish like that)
Posted by alba
lol, I think Vins opinion adds a fluster to the site (i have no idea if that sounds right)
ReplyDeletebut men instead of women, alba?
there is no such thing...as least my mind tells me so!

I will continue to respect and disagree with Vins opinion, as well as the opinions of others, until his (or their) opinion is changed to the right one!
