  1. maomatt especially loved the shot of SHOCKEY from the U raising his fingers and dancing during the field goal, only to turn and spread his loser wings wide in disbelief when the kick sailed... short?

  2. Bluefoot's Comment to Citizen K Likes This, Hot Buttered Rum edition.

I couldn't agree more about you having picked the 12th man, the player of which this blog is named after. "We" certainly made a difference today, even causing left tackle Luke Petitgout to say, "I embarrassed my team and my family."

It's also nice to see slowly coming around to "our" way of thinking!

  3. I'd like to publicly appologize to anyone that's offended by my use of "we" when refering to the team.

I hadn't thought about it in awhile (it was brought up before), I will refrain out of respect for this great team of 'ours' (?) Can I say that?

    Damn!

    Anyway, great game HAWKS!!!

  4. First, love the Holiday Edition graphic.

Second, love everything about the post (even though you did kick by boy Kelly Herndon even when he's down with injury!)

Third, after watching that game, I get the feeling that this year's version of the Seahawks is like John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd in the Blues Brothers..."we on a mission from God!"

I would prefer to go back to the 30+ point offensive dominance of the first half of the season, and stop these cardiac conquests, but a win is a win.

Looking ahead on our schedule, they're all tough but winnable games, and 'we' get the Colts at home, so it really will be 12 on 11.

I'm calling the shot right now and say the Seahawks win out (and maybe lose to the Colts) and finish no worse than 13-3, setting a new Seahawk high water mark for excellence.

  5. "Lofa Tatupu (how did the Rams not get him?--he's their type of player)"

Huh? He's their type of player? I'm not sure I follow, and if this is sarcasm it is well disguised.

Jeremy Shockey, for all his stupid loud mouth comments, is a great, great player. His rookie year when he bowled over all those guys, back before anyone covered him, what a gamer. And now, while he can't get up any speed usually as he is always heavily covered, still manages to get a bunch of catches, and meaningful catches. What a clutch player, I agree, I hope Stevens was taking notes, as well has the coaches. That is how you use a guy like that.

Anyway, JoSCh likes CitK's post as usual, thanks.

  6. PositivePaul likes his "twin brother from a different mother"'s award ;-)

Here's photographic evidence (as run through PositivePaul's secret hidden laboratory, analyzed from the original photo published on The News Tribune's web site) as to why poor Feely missed his FGs.

Amazing Grace, indeed how sweet the sound!

I was driving home, switching between KIRO and its Portland affiliate (depending on landscape-induced interference), so I didn't get to watch the game. But I swear there must've been that whole "Angels on the Gridiron" thing going on. Ain't no way, outside of divine intervention, Feely pulls off a "No GOOOOOD!" hat trick...

God still is a Seahawks fan.

  7. LOL at PosiPaul's photo. (I think he actually missed the kicks because he was wearing too large a cup...)

  8. Hmmm, ok, I guess I was just shocked to see anything positive written about the Rams. I don't know, I guess there are examples, Hah-vahd QB looked good this week, Kevin Curtis seems to be working out for them. You could be right, the difference is because of where the Seahawks "reached" for him he is well known and highly (for Seattle) publicized, but had he been taken where he *should* have been, you'd be dead on.

  9. You know, I *hate* to see the Rams continuing to win games. I don't want them anywhere near the playoffs, even if we *do* have HFA. Now we beat them twice, and should certainly own them again, but the *last* thing I want to see interfere with this Team of Destiny is some bad Juju at the hands of the boys in blue and gold.

  12. why do some people like coke instead of pepsi?

why do some people dip their french fries in mayonaise instead of ketchup?

why do some people root for teams other than the seahawks?

Answer: personal preference (and in many cases, severe early toilet training issues!)

  16. Actually, in defense of our resident "cunning linguist" he did say when the crowd affects the outcome of a game, it would be proper to use the term "we", but only if you were actually at the game.

  17. CitK - does this allow us to use the word "we" for awhile now?

    From Mike Sando's Blog
Holmgren opened his comments by announcing that the team would set aside a game ball to honor the fans' contributions Sunday. These are the types of moves the team has been making under CEO Tod Leiweke. They are setting aside the actual ball that K Josh Brown kicked to beat the Giants in overtime.
