DJ Holmy

Seattle's JACK fm, which prides itself on NOT taking listener requests, lost a bet with Mike Holmgren and as payoff has agreed to play 1 hour worth of Holmgren's requests.

The station bet Holmgren that if the Seahawks beat the Rams twice this season, they'd let him request 1 hour worth of music. The Hawks of course won both games and so this Sunday, from 12 - 1 PST, the offensive mastermind becomes DJ Holmy--spinning the meanest wax this side of the nuetral zone.

There's not a lot of information on the site itself about the promotion, most of it's been on-air, but the station does stream over the net for you out of towners.

Now tell me you're not wondering what kind of music Holmy listens to? Let's hear your guesses folks.

  1. I gotta go with old brush-band classics from Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby, with the possibility of some Country tunes and maybe some Gospel mixed in.

  2. Pantera... 56 minutes of Pantera, then one of those crazy yodel songs by Jewel.

  3. Given that he like to ride his murdercycle his time off, I want to say he's a Steppenwolf  and Lyn nard Skin nard guy.

But I bet he's a sucker for anything by the Carpenters.

But then again, he's from the bay area, so I bet he's madly in love with Journey, but only their old stuff, before they "went all commercial and stuff".

Naaaah. Barry Manilow, all the way.
