Moonlight Graham Award

OH WHAT A FEELING!

With Monday Night Football finishing up right around midnight here on the East coast, this really is an award earned by the light of the moon. And with the way the Philadelphia Eagle Quarterbacks played, it appeared they were straight-job stiffs who were just moonlighting in this football thing!

As everyone knows, this award is given to the player who steps out of obscurity and gets recognized...

  3. Hooray for Joe Tafoya!!! Well done title tie in too. You so clever. I didn't get it until the end.

I'm pretty surprised that you can get so many of these in such a dominating season. You'd think by week 13 that all the good players would be out in the open, not this team. Says tons about depth, and even more about Tim Ruskell and the rest of the FO. I think we have Exec of the Year on our side...

  4. Thanks JoSCh...yea, it gets harder and harder each week to find another diamond in the rough.

No doubt on the Ruskell for EOY honors.

Hmmm. Can we get a Superbowl, MVP, DROY and EOY in the same year? WHY THE F#CK NOT?

  5. Ya know, during the game they talked alot about the injuries the Eagles have had, and how devestating it's been for them. But look at the Seahawks defense - missing a starting CB, DE, S, LB, DT, and then another CB goes down, but comes back, then goes down again. Nearly half the defensive starters were out, and down to the third string at CB. So here's my question. If the Eagles were just playing bad because they're missing some key starters, why did the Seahawks defense play so well, missing some key starters? Could it be because the Seahawks are a superior team? Not according to John Madden.

  6. I got the superbowl, DROY defensive rookie of they year, MVP Most valuable player of the year, but whats a EOY.

I think Holmgren should get Coach of the Year, he's been outstanding.

  8. Hell, we were actually down to our fourth string corner, and our 3rd string FS by the end of the game. I was wondering with all the starters pulled, why Trufant was still in, then I realized, cause we have no more corners!

Anyhow, good choice on the Award. Caught me completely off guard. Talk about obscure. Nicely written, and even a little suspenseful. I whole heartedly concur, but giving it to the entire organizations history also would have been off the beaten path, and thus right up my alley (and don't make that into something disgusting)
