Tonight's game means much more to me than putting one more nail in the coffin of the other NFC contenders; in spite of what the team is saying, this game will provide a touchstone to the NFL scene of two things:1. With all the talk of the Seahawks being 'lucky' this season, it will be nice to go out on the road and pull out a win in hostile conditions and bad weather on national TV. To be honest, I know that the media is going to be full of excuses for Philly, and thus continue to disrespect our team, but it doesn't hurt to continue to prove their dominance. There is such a thing as overwhelming abundance of evidence.
2. This game represents a true changing of the guard - the former 'class of the NFC' has shown weakness, and the new team is in town, on their turf, to finish off their period of dominance. The leadership in the NFC is now on the wings of a different bird.
This should be a good one to watch. The gametime forecast is for SNOW (yes! I love snow games!) but check here for an up-to-the minute gametime forecast.
