This one Hurts

Well it appears that while Andre Dyson on one hand has earned the NFC defensive player of the week award; Mike Holmgren is now been quoted on AP and on ESPN as saying that Dyson has a high ankle sprain and will likely miss the rest of the season.

With Herndon out and now Dyson as well, looks like the load will fall onto Jordan Babineaux's shoulders, let's hope he can handle the load.

  3. Ditto on the CRAP comment.

I'm hoping to hear that he might be back by the Playoffs, which will give the team additional incentive to get that bye week.

And in case anyone was questioning Holm's motives in taking Shaun and the gang out early, this just serves to underscore that decision.

As Seahawks fans, we're nothing if not optomistic, so let's just keep the faith!

  4. Though I think Babs has played well in a limited role and Jimmy as well, can we count on those two?
When will Herndon be back? He was getting picked on an awful lot when he was playing, maybe Babs is better? Maybe this just flat out sucks!

  7. Oh man, so then he misses for sure the rest of the year.

I sure hope Jimmy or Babas can get it done.

Apparently Jimmy has been announced as the starter next week, good thing we play the Niners, at least we will see something from him before the Colts game. If Jimmy does OK good deal if not then we play Babs and see what he can do.
Also Herndon should be back soon shouldn't he? He is at least a hard nosed hitter, he plays physical, ven if he isn't a great cover guy. If he comes back for the Colts game we should be OK anyway.

  8. Ugh, this sucks.

Get Babs some smaller shoulder pads and put him to the test. Hopefully Tru will stay healthy, we'll need him against Marvin Harrison.

But in the much bigger picture, at least we should have Tru, Herndon and Babs for the playoffs. That is infinitely more important.

  9. Jimmy start over Babs? You're kidding?

Maybe they just want to try him out with the niners.

  10. Does this now mean we have a problem with putting Williams on punt returns?

Maybe we'll see Josh Scobey there before the end of the season.

That would make alba very happy!

  11. Holms just said out for 'the rest of the regular season' so there may be some hope

  12. This sucks...makes the Lenny Walls situation more interesting, as I believe he failed his physical with Oakland, who tried to claim him off waivers

One thing they need to do now, either put Warrick or Scobey on punt returns...we cannot risk Williams getting injured, especially if our defense plays the way it did against Philly for much of the remainder of the year...thats a lot of punts

  13. from Sando's blog:

UPDATE: I neglected to mention that the Seahawks released CB Brandon Haw from the practice squad. They re-signed CB Michael Harden, cut by the Patriots, to fill Haw's spot. Harden has time in Seattle's system given that he went to camp with the Seahawks.

  14. God this sucks. I was really hoping it wouldn't be a big deal, but i think we will fair all right without him during the regular season, but we sure as hell need him in the playoffs.

  15. What is most annoying is that this could of been avoided had the defender not use a scissors takedown on him in the endzone...this is not K1 MMA...besides, he already had the touchdown, whats the point of tackling him? I thought it was a boneheaded play by a frustrated Eagles, BUT, I will say, that its more instinct in actual gametime, so its kind of hard to think so fast

Thanks to that ninja kick we lost a playmaker who obviously had his long awaited breakout game for awhile, if not, the season...

I wantedthem to sign BJ Tucker, but they picked of Harden instead, which is ok, he probably won't be playing anyways

  16. I saw that too, ADP, and it pissed me off. It was the the same kind of problem as a horse collar tackle, only lower.

In fact, wasn't it Westbrook? If it was, it looks like Joe Karma got him, because he's out for the season himself.

  17. No, it was their other RB...I think Westy was already out of the game at that point.
