Yuengling, Chicken Wings and Home Field Advantage!

First of all, let me say HOLY FREAKING SCHNIKEES BATMAN...WHAT A FREAKING GAME??!!!

Second, let me say I'm really sorry not to be on the gameday chat thingy agonizing along with you guys, but let me set the stage for you. Me and SimpleHawk got together in a dive bar in a small town with an incredibly beautiful bartender named Rachel, the chicken wings were on special, and there was an obnoxious giants fan two stools down from us, who was a woman who went 315lbs if she weighed an ounce.
(GOX, I think you own several naked pictures of her!!!)

  1. hahaha nice story...i mentioned somewhere that I wondered whether or not youwere crying in public watching the emotional rollercoaster ride...Paulie admitted he was (unless he was joking...me and him were both getting sick, literally)

lotta Giants fans are whining about refs...i was naming the numbers outloud of every false start there was, before the flags were thrown...refs dont screw you on false starts, and if anything, helped the Giants a bit...I thought it was a fair called game though...but dont go whining to Seahawk fans about refs...I dont remember New York ever getting an apology letter from the NFL

also...those Seahawk fans out there, it was a great game...and no, the Giants are not better then us...they could blow us out, and they still wouldn't be a better team...so stop with the 'they outplayed us' crap...a win is a win...unless you are Lofa Tatupu, in which case, get annoyed all you want about the score being close (gives him motivation)

  5. Hacket OT catch was the bomb. It made the game. Your right media will continue to hate us saying that it was a Giants loss not a Seahawks win but who cares 3 missed field goals in most games will not het u a win so Giants fans quit complainin man up and beat the Cowboysif u wanna make the playoffs.

Loved the Texans comment but not even the 2004 Seahawks would have found a way to lose to a thrd string quarterback from Harvard of all places.

Good win, been tellin everyone that i see that today is a good day. If Heaven feels as good as this win, i wanna be there

Lets smack those loser Eagles, i think D-Jack back for that game anyone know for sure, hust wondering is collarbone Bannister on the IR or is he expected to comeback, either way Scobey is begining to look like him with those special teams tackles.

  6. Bannister is on the IR...

I think DJack will be ready come Eagles gameday, BUT...the way Holmgren has been slowing players back into the mix, it wouldn't surprise me if hes gone another week...we do have the extra day since the game will be on Monday Night Football

  7. oh, and since everyone says the NFC East is the best division and ours is the worst...

with a win (probable), we will go 3-1 in that division...with a loss in OT after the refs screwed us on that PI (we got a letter from the NFL about that one)

so put us anywhere, take away our credit...but everywhere you look at it...the Seahawks are ELITE

  8. Let the record show that it was O-meezy who mentioned my man Josh Scobey first. But since he brought him up, the dude BETTER go to the probowl as the special teams ace. Not only is he racking up decent returns, but he's ALWAYS the first or second guy making the tackle on kick coverage.

Alex "Balsa Wood" Bannister should just start getting used to retirement.

  9. An excellent synopsis, Alb. We don't get many Hawks games on the tube down here, but I had a similar experience. An intoxicated heifer who just "loved those Mannings" sheesh could she find a more loser family to root for? Only the Romanovs were bigger losers
Was great to see the Hawks win and homefield cant be far behind. And... odds are we'll knock of the dolts, too

  10. Nice alba and Simple, way to represent... yo. I love watching games at sports bars. All the Gints fans at the sissy bar were mean-mugging me. Well, screw them. I was extra loud yesterday too, as a buddy of mine who is a Gints fan was there, and we had a beer bet.

The only problem with OT games is that I tend to drink faster and faster the later it gets... I was completely tossed by the end of the game, and wish I had gone home and went to bed immediately after the game today... not fun.

  11. I hear that. Drinking during East Coast late-games definitely takes its toll. I just spent the morning trying to revive our web server after inadvertantly deleting a critical file. OUCH!

  12. While Scobey's doing a great job getting downfield and making initial contact, he needs to start wrapping the guy up, too. Twice yesterday he made the first hit, and then let the guy get away from him. No pro-bowl until you make the tackle.

  13. Thanks alba for the credit, and adp for the info on bannister and jackson. Scobey is doin good with those tackling even if he's not wrapping up. I swear that guy who he it went down, it should have been down by contact. Wrapping up, big hit, guy slips and u put a finger on him either way they are down, send Scobey to the pro bowl, he's doin a stellar job for our special teams.

There should be a clause in Bannister's contract sayin if he breaks his collarbone again, he gets released and pays the Seahawks all the money they paid him. For god sakes how many times can you break your freakin collarbone.
