nothing Mad Mike Martz can't handle!

I know I was awfully sorry to read about the recent spate of woes the Naturalambs are having to deal with. While Isaac Bruce is a hell of a player, it would seem to be less than brilliant of him to disregard his EKG, especially given the fact that he says (more or less) that doctors just aren't meant to be listened to. It sure would be a shame for him to blow out his ticker over a case of almighty ego, wouldn't it?

Then there's that Turley "replacement" who is already being downgraded. Whoops! Maybe his coach should have rubbed his two brain cells together before alienating one of their better players. Then again, I'm sure nothing works better as a motivational factor than calling someone a malingerer, sponge, or liar. Well done, Mike!

Still, though, this recent PR photo of the Lambs' head coach shows that he's getting ready to go to work in the months before the season starts. He's ready to make a clean sweep, as it were, and unless he gets a severe knot in his control panel hosiery, he's planning on making this season very memorable for his squad. Let's hope that's the case - just not for the reasons he most likely has in mind.

  6. I guarantee he peed all over himself during his meeting with Kyle "I'll rip off your arm and beat you to death with it!" Turley.

Ruining his Mom's dress in the process.

Rams | Martz: Talks Jackson and Faulk - from www.KFFL.com
    Sat, 4 Jun 2005 22:58:46 -0700

Bill Coats, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams head coach Mike Martz discussed the team's situation in the backfield, namely RB Steven Jackson starting over RB Marshall Faulk. Based on his comments, there may not be one lead running back all season. "I think it's important for Marshall more than for Steven to have Steven take over. Marshall's role will be very significant. It's not limited. It's what he wants it to be. But it's important for Marshall to get Steven in this role so that he can mentor him and they can kind of feed off each other. It allows us to use Marshall maybe even in a different role, too, out of the backfield. Maybe both of them in the backfield. But the whole idea here is, as soon as we made that decision; it's not an issue throughout the offseason for anybody. Marshall suggested this during the (2004) season as a way of helping Steven, so he's not always looking over his shoulder and makes one mistake and he's coming out (of the game), that kind of thing. He's just ready to do it, and Marshall's ready to have him step into that capacity. And yet, this could be a 50-50 deal throughout the season."

    ???????????????????????
BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH BLAH. Martz is tring so hard to please everyone in this quote, he sounds like a blithering idiot.

Rams | Furrey does Well at Safety - from www.KFFL.com
    Sat, 4 Jun 2005 00:01:37 -0700

Bill Coats, of the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, reports St. Louis Rams S Mike Furrey performed well at safety during the team's minicamp Friday, June 3. Furrey is converting from a wide receiver to safety. The 6-foot Furrey played at about 180 pounds last year, but he's already up to 202 pounds this year. "He's done a real good job," head coach Mike Martz said. "He's doing a lot of things that for a guy who hasn't played there before, you wouldn't expect him to do. He looks like he's been doing this his whole career." Furrey did play some defensive back in the Arena League before he came to the Rams.
