Koren charged with DUI

Well, well, well...apparently all that hot air about how Koren Robinson was going to FINALLY see the writing on the wall was just that - hot air. It seems #81 is making the decision to release him really easy on Tim Ruskell. Note that this incident took place less than a week after that Walton Family style down home "I'm a good guy' interview on Seahawks.com.

  2. I gotta go back now and check what date Mary called the K-Rob release...I'm guessing it's around May 7th!

And this happens almost a MONTH ago but the news is just breaking now...as the Church Lady used to say, "isn't that convenient??!!"

P.S. welcome back, GOX...glad to see your blogger issues are worked out.

  3. “I’m not stupid, man,” Robinson said at the time. “I’m not going to be one of those people they talk about, ‘Oh, he had the potential to be a great player but he let this, that and the third, so many distractions’ – that’s not going to be me.”

No sadder words of tongue or pen than those frightful words, "what might have been"

  4. thats what sucks...

im more annoyed that he takes what he has for granted...i dont have much, but i appreciate every little thing i get...and if only the odds are with me to get such a chance that he got

    its bittersweet though

this makes us by far the favorites to sign Boulware, barring the Browns ridiculously overpaying him...and it keeps Engram on the roster...

but as Alba said...sums up the city of Seattle...Sonics got injured, refs screwed them...Seahawks had horrible injuries and ref problems...and mental toughness...

    what might of been

  5. Obviously this is what Mary was referring to when she said that he would be released, turns out that Mary was right again. abla, what can you do to get her away from that horrible site and bring her here, honestly, what's she doing there anyway?
It would be an absolute boon to have our own insider, is there any chance she can at least visit and get a taste of this place? It's so much friendlier a place to report things, no one would bug her and drive her bananas the way they do there.

  6. judging by the use of the word bananas...monkey sounds hungry!

  7. Monkey - I've put the hard sell on Mary to join us over here, and even set her a contributor invitation awhile back. She says she doesn't have time to paticipate in more than one site and for some reason, seems loyal to the ST site. (must be her designated area to spy on the fans!)

Anyhow, with the way the conversation is deteriorating over there, maybe that's just what we need to get her to move into a new, more classy neighborhood.

Oh yea, and Koren is a goof! How soon before he's a Raider?

    ReplyDelete
  8. us classy?!?!?!?!

    yeh...we'll call it that

tell her about how we are rated #1 in Seattle magazine, and rated as the best new sports site by the Baltimore Inquirer!

as long as KRob doesnt go to the Eagles or 49ers...then again, whats there to be scared of? more picks for us...

just remember...there is a small chance he may not get cut...if Holmgren has any say...I think Ruskell will fire him on the spot

  9. 49ers | Eye on the Waiver Wire - from www.KFFL.com

SF49ers.com reports San Francisco 49ers head coach Mike Nolan said the team will keep a close watch on veteran free agents following the June 1 cuts. Nolan indicated that the 49ers' interest remains in the area of offensive line, wide receiver and defensive backs. "It wouldn't be far fetched to sign a couple of each for that matter. That's wishful thinking, but we can still handle that," Nolan said. "We certainly need to sign a couple offensive linemen, wide receivers legs are valuable when you get in camp and we need DB's."

  10. Faders, Donkos, or Tennessee. Please don't let him be in the NFC, cuz B7 is right, he'll start catching everything. His mom will make him do it.

On that note, I wonder if she got all moved in or if she is still cold chilling in NC? Bet she's pissed if she moved in already, and now has to move again. Moving sucks. Sorry Karens Mom, I can't help you move the armoire, got a bunch of yard work and a car show this weekend...

  11. It's one thing to be nationally embarrassed and to lose a multi-million dollar gig, but to make your mother move across country twice in a 30 day period...boy...go get me a willow switch from the yard and drop them drawers!!!

  13. i am the happiest person in the world. what can i say.... prayer works!

so i'd just like to remind people of my "most likely to be released" post last week, in which i had koren ranked with an 87% getting cut.

so now we get to speculate on potential landing spots, and i would put my money on the niners. they need receivers in the worst way. and i think we all can agree that koren is a receiver in the worst way.

i can't wait till he's playing against us at safeco and drops a pass. i bet he cries!

  14. BTW, not to rub noses it dung, but there swere some who jumped on me when I ran the *sniff sniff* smells like a contract year thread and told you all that this would happen. Of course that does not make me the amazing Kreskin, everyone should have seen this coming, Koren is a complete loser as I have said all along, he's just another Ricky Williams or Onterrio Smith, more interested in getting high than he is living life to the fullest and making something out of himself. He is the poster boy for wasted talent.

    ReplyDelete
  15. so are you equating your previous post to a pile of dung??!!

  16. According to an unnamed source, since this incident is alcohol related, and his previous was not, the league will not pursue a suspension, so the team may not cut him, holding out hope for a possible trade.

    ReplyDelete
  17. So long as the Hawks find some way to be rid once and for all of this problem I don't really care how. If they can find a way to trade him, however, I will be shocked, after all, who would want the misfit? IF we could get something for him that would certainly be the best case scenario, if not then it is addition by subtraction. Just hope he's gone before the season starts one way or another.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Oh ya, that thread was kinda dung like, maybe that what what I was smelling.

    ReplyDelete
  19. unfortunately, there is still the slight chance of holding on to him. but i estimate that to be about a 7% chance now.

    ReplyDelete
  20. I think that they will be more likely to release him if we are anywhere close to signing Boulware and need the money. You know what they say, money talks, and this situation will be no different.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Rumor has it that when the cop handed back his lisence, Koren dropped it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. ba dum bum.
    Now that's comedy Bluefoot!

    ReplyDelete
  23. hahahaha Blue

hope he stops his drops when hes holding his soap in jail! im sure he will be there soon

    ReplyDelete
  24. Funny reading all the posters comments at other sites about this incident. They are all expressing how sad they feel for him and many are saying that "we should understand he has a problem", all I can think of is the immortal words of Jim Carrey in the movie Liar Liar, "Quit breakin' the law a$$hole!"

    ReplyDelete
  25. Here's the teams respons to this, "We are extremely disappointed and concerned with Koren's situation,” said a club spokesman. “We have established several programs, both league and team sponsored, to support and help him. We will continue to encourage him to use this support network and believe he should be held accountable for his actions."

    ReplyDelete
  26. judging by that statement...it still doesnt clear up whether he will be cut or not...

i still think its possible he wont get cut...it depends on how much Holmgren begs Ruskell

but in the end...i do personally think he is gone...especially if Boulware makes it through Cleveland today
