Alright, I admit it, this is not my idea originally, the P-I blog site is doing this same thing, but I thought it was kinda fun and people seem to like to vent, so here goes.What are you least favorite teams in each of these sports and why?
NFL - Raiders, Rams, Vikings, Cowboys, in order of hatred.
MLB - Yankees, actually my most hated franchise in any sport period!
NBA - Lakers
NHL - I really don't care enough about hockey to have favorites or most hated, though I've always kinda liked the Canucks.
NCAA - Any school from Florida, especially in football, but mostly Notre Dame. I am a big Navy and U.Washington guy myself.

9. St. Louis Blues (annoying)
10. New Jersey Nets (because of how they screwed Byron Scott)
Just Missed: Spurs (NBA), Yankees (MLB), Giants, Raiders (NFL)

1. Seattle Mariners

3. Seattle Seahawks (sorry but the others were my first loves)

9. Dallas Mavericks (dropped considerably after watching them try to be cocky)

fun stuff...the offseason is LONNNGGG...on one miraculous day of boredom, i made a lit of every team in the 3 major sports and ut them in order of fav to least fav (to settle the issue of which teams i like)
oh crap...add the Buffalo Sabres to my JM list for teams i like...theyre my 2nd fav NHL team

Being a tad "old school" my most hated NFL teams still are Raiders and Broncos, and of course, the Lambs. I'm hating on the Pats recently too for their freaking smugness and the fact everyone wants to emulate them.
That being said, I actually hate on the Jordon Bulls too. Big hatred for Scottie "I ain't going in for garbage time" Pippen.

I hope you don't mind me amending the graphic with this post. Seeing as a lot of folks on this blog don't like ESPN, I didn't think we needed to advertise for them, and we all seem to agree on the top 3 or 4 most hated NFL rivals.

Notice a pattern? It seems like every favorite team I have has a rival in St. Louis. I love the Hawks, Cubs, and Coyotes, they all have rivals in STL, and I'm sure that if the NBA had a team there, they'd end up being big rivals with my T-Wolves.

GOX, the big problem I have with Boston fans is the lack of respect. From what I've seen, Red Sox fans have had a massive inferiority complex for years. Have you ever heard a Yankee spout off about someone not being a true Sock? Everything the Sox throw at the Yanks, the Yankees seem to handle gracefully and just push aside, saying things like "they are the world champs, until someone beats them."
ReplyDeleteIt all came to a head when I was at a Cardinals Patriots game here in PHX, and the Sox fans started chanting "Yankee's suck". It made no sense, and had no place at an NFL game. I lost a ton of respect for the Sox fans that day.

Paulie...i hated every team in St. Louis myself...but for the Cardinals, it was because of Mark McGwire (same reason with with Sosa)...i hate obvious steroid users, especially when they took away the steam from Griffey...but when McGwire retired i gradually started not hating the Cards again

Alba - i will let you in the loop...but since i have no proof, and this si the internet, its probably not going to be believeable... basically she told me she was going to tie me up, and i was on my A game the whole time we talked...i didnt play any pickup lines, or show any perverted remarks...i played it smooooootheeee---she has a great body and i already 'shagged' her best friend a couple years ago (they hate each other now)
I agree that not all BoSox fans are bad, and I respect their passion. I feel the same towards my Hawks.
ReplyDeleteI don't want you to think I'm a Yankee apologist. I root against them almost every time they play. And I will NOT excuse the Yankees fans. They're almost as bad as Sox Fans. (almost). But I can't recall a PLAYER on the Yanks making any comments like some of the Sox have. And I don't just mean the Trot Nixon thing. Schilling fit right in with some of them in my opinion.
A-Rods play... I'm still not sure how to feel about that. It is legal to run over the catcher to be safe at home, but not to hit the glove of the first baseman. I don't know.
But doesn't it seem like the Yankees have always been the big brother and the Sox have been spiteful towards them for it? It never even seemed like a rivalry to me, the Yanks always won.
I don't know, I really don't want to get too far into it, because I do respect some Sox fans. (even some ChiSox fans, although the Cubs will always be the TRUE chicago team) But it just seeems like 25% of the dumb comments or situations that come up in baseball have BoSox involved.

I totally hate the Bears and the Texans. What is with the boy scouts antics - where are the hotdogs? No Micheal Irvins, no T.O's, no Randy Moss - these teams suck.

AS far as the NBA goes what a swell bunch of athletes! The Brewers the could take some lessons from them. I mean in the NBA you have real team players like Kobe, Allen Iverson and Sprewell. I love this game! I can't think of anyone not to like in the NBA. By the way, I love Barkley and I will take out the next blogger geek that insults him.

I forget to mention the WNBA, I hate them. Girls shouldn't be on the court. They should be playing beach volleyball or cheerleading or water ballet or something but not basketball, or football, or hockey, and definetly NOT the WWF ( I hate those steroid using dykes in the WWF) or anything that is MAN! Better yet they should stay home and make sure the beer is cold and wings are hot and have the Baseball Weekly ironed and on the arm chair when their man gets home. That's why I am proud to call myself Monkey's kick ass wife!
