I Know It's Ridiculous To Do This So Early But...

OK, here's the deal. Below is a list of our games we play this season, in order of appearance, what I want you guys to do is copy the list, then paste it into the comments with either a "W" or an "L" behind it. Then at the bottom of the list you can tell me why if you like, or just tally up the total and we can argue till we turn blue. Sound like fun? No? Well, tough, I'm going to do it anyway!

12-4, REMATCH WITH IGGLES IN NFC CHAMPIONSHIP.

I really do expect it. This is our year. We lost games we should have won last year mostly because of injuries on defense and dropped passes at crucial moments. This is our year. Those problems are history. This is our year.

    This is our year.
    This is our year.
    This is our year.
    This is our year.
    This is our year.

I'm beginning to sound like Howard Hughes. Next thing you know I'll lock myself in a room for months watching game films endlessly, drinking milk and filling the jars with Yellow Strom.

No, I won't sell the blog. I won't sell the blog. I won't sell the blog. I won't sell the blog. DAMMIT!

Man, I need to trim my fingernails. Who is Blue Seven? Does he work for me? FIRE HIM!

Eagles are overrated...they had a creampuff schedule last year, and the only reason they made it to the super bowl was because they played the 2nd tier NFC teams with Seattle and Carolina suffering too many major injuries...notice when they play NE twice and Pittsburgh...they lost

I will never give the Rams a win over us...Jaqs are overrated...at first i had us at 13-3...so i had to give us another loss to make it realistic, so i picked Houston...DJohn will be a beast, and Andre Johnson will hit all cylinders

this is all barring injury of course...and REFS

I say we will go no less then 9-7...most likely 11-5, with a dark horse loss among the teams i have us beating (Houston is my other dark horse loss...they're always hiding)

We lost to the Packers and the Colts because we are 12-2 sealing the division and a first round home playoff game. No way do the Jags beat us out of the gate OR the Rams beat us 5 in a row. we will be out for blood. Same for Dallas, blood baby.

ADP, you'r right. its hard to imagine that we can't win 14. they say our schedule is tough, but at this point 14 is do-able.

I'll go with 12 to be safe tho.

  6. hey, the truth is, we are supposed to be an elite team...well, elite teams should be able to beat the above average teams like the Jaguars, Cardinals, and Cowboys...

we have been on a streak for starting off undefeated for 3 games...and personally i wanted to change the 2 losses i had to wins, but i wont go overboard...12-4 sounds perfect

  7. Jags - W, close one, low score, D dominates both sides
Falcons - W, another close one, better O, Vick runs wild, SA is effective.
Cards - L, inexplicable. Who is this JJ Arrington guy?
Redskins - W, Red D cannot stop us thru the air, SA is effective, only Portis is effective against us. Ramsey sacked 3 times
Rams - W, game looks like Arena, we win by 10 and score last late in 4th quarter, Rams final drive stalls.
Texans - W, High scoring again, but most of Hou points come in junk time
Cowboys - W, J Jones cannot run on us, Bledsoe is painfully ineffective, very much due to his receivers.
    Bye
Cards - W, retribution, JJ Arrington is ineffective as long as you get to him behind the line, D line gets great push. O is efficient.
Rams - W, Rams are completely ineffective, StL sinks into the plains, team moves back to L.A.
49ers - L, after Rams game the team is too amped, 49ers get their first win for Nolan.
Giants - L, Manning is really starting to shine, thunder/lighting is back and in effect. Close mid level score.
Eagles - L, Eagles in heated battle for the division wiht the Giants. McNabb is red hot, even Andy Reid gets 3 receptions for 26yds. T.O. is on his 5th agent, still cannot get an extension.
49ers - W, Seahawks D allows 100yds total offense, O is super effective, Seneca finishes game.
Titans - W, Blowout again, again Seneca finishes.
Colts - W, Hawks still looking to lockup the division, Colts have. Cards have the tie-breaker, were 8 and 6, now they are 8 and 7 in a loss to Philly, t-shirts are printed.
Packers - L, Our starters in for 1st quarter only, Packers as usual fighting for division with Min, Seneca finishes game, plays well, just a shoot-out with time running out.
11-5, NFCW champs, NFC E and NFC S provide the wildcards, Giants and Falcons. NFCS and NFCN host the wildcards, which is essentially a playoff win for us, and the pressure is off a bit. Extra week of prep and having played them already helps, we beat the Falcons again. Brooms are waved. Panthers beat the Pack, the Iggles, and are now coming to Seattle hot. They have a 9th string RB from nowhere grinding yards like nobody's business, but we air it out so much, and the noise at Seahawks Stadium is so deafening that Delhomme gets 6 delay of game penalties called, and they can't keep up, and their runner is taken out of the game. More t-shirts printed. On to Detroit and the Pats. Chad Brown is dissapointed.

  8. Oh, and some more t-shirts are printed. I buy 2, and a sweatshirt. I think about a hat, but I really wouldn't wear it much.

If we don't win at least 10 games I will be severly pissed. Definitely revenge against the lambs and especially the cowgirls.

  12. Love the deep sense of irony, check!

I'm jealous. Nobody got my reference to "The Aviator." But that's ok, I'm a bit ashamed I saw a Leo Nardo Decrappio movie myself.

  13. Max, no way NE lost to Miami last year... no way Pit went 15 and 1 with a rook QB.

Last year I would've said the same thing about Ari game 6, Dal, and Buf...

And NO WAY can you have some, its mine. :-D

  14. im shocked how everyone is afraid of the Eagles

    they are WAY overrated

Kearse will get injured again, the CBs are overrated, Dawkins will break a hip, their QB and WRs have issues, and TO is overrated

i dont even think the game will be close, to be honest...they had a creampuff schedule last year, and the media was up their ass...that doesn't mean they are good, the 3 good teams they faced all whipped their ass (NE twice, Pitts)

  15. "Kearse will get injured again, the CBs are overrated, Dawkins will break a hip, their QB and WRs have issues, and TO is overrated "

A lot of this sounds eerily similar to something others say about my favorite team. Don't f-ing jinx us Alpha.

And what does  mean they are good is that they made the Superbowl. And the NFC championship for the last 4 years. Media bias doesn't win games (ref bias does, but that isn't applicable here... yet).

  16. i got to do a little better with my sarcasm, apparently...

there is a reason why the Eagles went to the NFC Title game 4 straight years...after they lost Vincent and Taylor, their team officially became overrated...they only made it as far as they did last year because they had no threat...if they were in the AFC, they would have a first round ticket back home in the playoffs

i think they are a good team, dont get me wrong, but i also think the media has gotten into too many brains about them...the media makes them out to be such a great team, so everyone starts to believe it...i didnt say the media helps them win...i give them credit for beating the teams they should beat, but until they have a division rival breathing down their throat, im not buying into them at all

we can beat them...not saying we will, but they're beatable...and i do think we'll prove that on national tv (of course the game is in Philly, so they have an advantage, but i still thgink we win)---barring injuries, refs, and Tom White, in particular

  17. Sorry I didn't catch the Aviator referrence Bluefoot but to be honest, I never watch DiCraprio movies myself. LOL!

  18. I haven't seen the Aviator, but I got the Howard Hughes reference (at least the first part) simply through common knowledge. Still pretty funny. There's just so much to be done with that yello strom stuff.

  19. OK Josh, you got me there, Miami almost got us too. But No Way do we lose all three of the afore mentioned. Maybe one or two, but all three, Giants AZ and the 9ers? 9ers,they're the one I have the hardest time stomaching.
