BlackSTOCK IS RISING / Toeing THE LINE

With all the talk of Brown being on his last legs, who would you go for in the draft to shore up the LB position? I'm hoping they'll go for Blackstock, I've liked most everything I've read about him.

Also, just a thought since we really haven't discussed it much. Who do we take as the first O-line pick in the draft. Some have even mentioned a first round Lineman pickup. What do you think the best guy would be.

  1. First...I just found the guy that keeps getting compared to Dwight Freeney now (especially by Sports Illustrated)...its Demarcus Ware

DEs with a chance of falling in round 1...

    -Matt Roth
    -Demarcus Ware
    -David Pollack
    -Dan Cody

any of the those could fit out team...in order of 'best fit'...Roth wins because of his attitude

    CBs that could fall

    -Fabian Washington
    -Justin Miller

(those two would fit our team)

    LBs
    -Darryl Blackstock
    -Kevin Burnett
    -Channing Crowder
    -Barrett Ruud
    -Dan Cody

we obviously need pass rush...and these guys are good for it...Blackstock's flaw is that his coverage sucks...but who cares...pass rush is the biggest need...Cody also could play OLB and he has the speed to do so...he might end up a deer caught in the headlights in passing plays

    Finally, Olinemen

    -Jamaal Brown
    -Marcus Johnson
    -Adam Terry

(in that order...Khalif Barnes isnt on there because he is mainly a LT...I think the other 3 are perfect fits for RT)

you want some chunky scouting reports and stuff...go there...they have a many scouting report...and under the 'official bio' they have a huge report on his (or her...to whoever will be a Ram in the future) play

it also has a Mock Draft with the first 3 rounds...though I think they underestimate Roth too much

  3. Very good info ADP (as usual). I too am getting excited about this upcoming draft and am reading up. I agree (of course) about Roth. But that's why he'll slide to us and we'll be laughing all the way to the bank when we steal him at #23. (One can hope!)

  4. gotta love any compliments...thanks monkey!

Shonuff, I do agree with Pollack...I just dont think he will make it to the 23rd pick...I want Roth because of the attitude...but Pollack continues to be called 'the best DE in the draft'
