Updating previous reports, Mike Sando, of the Tacoma News Tribune, reports the Seattle Seahawks are still pursuing free agent WR Jerome Pathon (Saints). Should they acquire him before the NFL Draft, it would likely lessen their need for the position during the draft.

  1. I am sooooo hoping this happens. Man what corners we would have with Dyson here! Tru and Dyson with Harden at nickel. What a solid secondary! Now it looks like we may be needing a LB or two but according to Claire Farnsworth's article, the Hawks were planning on going with DD Lewis Niko Koutouvides and Jamie Sharper as the starters all along, with Brown getting limited in the downs he plays, mostly as a pass rusher. So maybe the Hawks are sold on their linebackers after all and aren't really looking to upgrade much. Also looks from this, that I was right about Holmgren's faith in Niko, he was penciled in as the starter all along at middle. Sharper outside. Sharper's agent was full of it. NIKO RULES!

  2. That's exactly what I have been saying for a long time now. Brown is gone, Taylor is gone, K Rob will be gone by draft day in a trade or after June 1. There may be other deadwieght that also gets cut. This is now Ruskells regime and I for one am loving it! Ruskell simply will not put up with deadweight contracts. If you aren't earnign your keep, then bend over and kiss your bum goodbye. That means Bye Brown, you were hurt too much and too old to pay that much for. Bye Bobby Taylor, your knee problems are no longer our problem. Bye Koren Robinson, You are a headcase and we don't need you! And this is a wake up call to anyone else that won't put the TEAM FIRST! You CAN and WILL be replaced!

  3. Dyson money comes directly from Taylors pocket would be my guess, as long as the contract is out long enough the cap hit isn't bad.

I think it saves money to have more cheap picks than fewer high picks. Don't know that, just think so. But you also can only have so many players on the roster...

  4. this is gay!...I just put 'KRob wont be traded on draft day' in the fearless predictions thread...im changing that immediately...

Pathon's signing means the end of Koren Robinson with Seattle

Andre Dyson coming here would make me poop myself...but we have a lot of competition...and with Donnie Abraham retiring (very speculated)...the Jets are going to have to either pick a CB several times in the draft, put their horrible clutch kicker at CB, or sign Dyson

I dont think we'd overpay...as I honestly trust Ruskell like ive never trusted a Seahawk FO before...but I do think the competition would get heavy to the point where we'd drop out

  5. The .net thing about Pathon is still unconfirmed and is probably nothing more than a rumor. I posted it with the Dyson thing to save space, so don't read too much into it.

  6. Rev. good to see you on "the street"!

The Dyson thing would definitely improve a defense in dire need of getting better, as long as it's for Sharper like money.

The Pathon thing does not bode well for Mr. Robinson.

Nice, if you're going to dream, dream big!

  8. to update Chad Brown's situation...

    Ruskell said this:

"If it comes to pass that he's released, our door will still be open if he tests the waters and doesn't find anything out there. He knows that," Ruskell said
