Usually far from the microphones and the scrutiny of the press, Ray Rhodes apparently was tracked down on draft day for this interview on Seahawks.com.
It's good to hear what the FO was thinking during the draft, and to get Ray's input on the new players added to his unit.

im surprised noone responded to this yet, as its a good read...good job Alba...(i originally thought it was just a video, which i cant watch do to using dial up)
ReplyDeletewe FINALLY get to understand the mystery that is Ray Rhodes...I think his input actually counted this time, as opposed to years past...either Ruskell doesnt care what Holmgren/Rhodes thinks...or Thompson/Whitsitt didnt...im thinking the latter...
Rhodes seems excited about Tatupu...I just wished it wouldnt of costed us two 4th rounders, when he would of fell...to be honest...looking at the draft as a whole...I might PREFER him to MATT ROTH ***shocker***
I like the way Rhodes is thinking now...I was never down on him like most Seahawk fans...as I always thought he never had enough to work with on our team...now he does...
I like speed more then power...I like playmakers more then size...and so does he...I think I may love his scheme
one thing left to do: stop playing conversative like they did alot last year...I want 400-0 wins damnit...
I agree Payroll, and maybe that's the "aggressiveness" that Ruskell was looking for in the draft.
ReplyDeleteFrom the top down we need to have the killer instinct, and score first and NEVER be satisfied that ANY lead enough.
Forget about running out the clock, let's run up the score!
Here's a question.
ReplyDeleteThey obviously put a lot of faith in Ray trading two 4th rounders to move up and get the guy HE wanted.
Could Rhodes be the next head coach of the Seattle Seahawks?
