Don't Be So Board! Read This!

Want to know how the Seahawks are thinking for draft day? Whos high on their board? I found a great little transcript of a highly known draft expert, Rob Rang who has done things for USA Today, ESPN, The Sporting News, and CBS Sportsline. (he is a good friend of the Seahawks.net staff...and does a lot of work on the Seahawks)

Here is a long, but DETAILED projection of where the Seahawks are heading, so click here

he says there is no way Roth will be in our uniform, and he thinks David Pollack is the best player in the draft, and could fall to us. This may be the most detailed Seahawk-draft related information we have read this year...so check it out...

  1. Well ADP that was incredibly long but well worth the time. Thanks for posting that. By the way, I noticed that he said the Hawks would not take ROth in the First round because he said he's not athletic enough, but he also said that is he slipped into round two they would take him there, then later he said that the Hawks had the DE's graded like this, "I don't know their entire DE board, but for their needs I'd assume it to go: James, Pollack, Merriman, Tuck, Roth..." I find that interesting. He said that they think Tuck is too one dimensional, in other words, can't stop the run, that Merriamn will be long gone and that James is a guy they like alot but will really have to think aobut because of the injury problems. It seems to me that after all the players he ruled out for this or that, all that was left was Pollack, who in my opinion, will be gone. I hope that guy is nuts and wrong about most of what he said the Hawks are thinking, though I can't disagree with most of his opinions on the players themselves.

  2. he has a site at:

    nfldraftscout.com

monkey: I actually trust what he says...anyone that can memorize the pros and cons of nearly every draftee has to know something decent...just the fact of his knowledge of whats goin on in Seahawks headquarters is what impresses me...

he said there is a possibiliy that Pollack would drop (I saw him on 2 mock drafts falling to us)...or we might trade up if he falls far enough

  4. the later rounds are more intriguing for me...simply because you dont really know much about what you draft...

its like after trick-or-treating, you look in your bag to see what kind of candy you got...

10 picks is exciting to possess...wonder what it feels like to be one of those teams with 11-13 picks...

I just didnt want it to sound like I believed a 'source' so to speak...but lookin at the guys' credentials...he is easily the #1 thing im listening to outside of the team and Seattle papers...
