Fearless Predictions!

As the draft is rapidly approaching, I thought it would be interesting to do something completely speculative and cooky. I thought it would be fun to start a thread where we can prognosticate about what will happen in the draft, and even on how this draft will affect the season. I thought it would be fun to post some fearless (crazy?) predictions, that later on we can look back at and brag about (laugh at) have fun with. So just to get things started and to give an example of what I am talking about, here goes.

monkey's fearless prediction: On Draft day, the Seahawks will trade Shaun Alexander and a third round pick to the Philadelphia Iggles for Brian Westbrook and their first round pick. The Seahawks will also trade away Koren Robinson to the Redskins for a third round pick. The Seahawks first pick in the 2005 draft will be...(drumroll please) David Pollack! They will also package a couple of picks to move up enough to take Mark Clayton in the first round as well.
Now, how's that for fearless prognostication.
You guys can now mock, laugh, insult, whatever, just be sure to add your own "fearless predictions" so I can join in the fun.

  1. I like your prediction, Monkey. But I'm going with something different, so I can be, well, different!

Bluefoot's Fearless Prediction: Shaun will stay. The Seahawks will trade their first round pick(23), a third round pick (89), and Koren Robinson for Washington's first round pick(9). Then they the Seahawks will draft Shawne Merriman.

No offense, ADP. I know you want to move up for a CB. But I'm all about D-linemen.

  4. No trades regarding players or picks until after the second round pick. @23 they take DE Pollack, @54 OLB Burnett, @85 Marion Barber the third. The third round they may trade up to Gints 74, but only if AZ and Den haven't taken an RB yet. Also, I believe they sign Pathon and Dyson prior to the draft, therefore CB and WR aren't going to be pursued actively. I had to trash the last post cuz I was looking at the comp picks at the end of the round, not the "real" ones.

  5. Oh sure Josh, real fearless, after I post an article about Pathon signing and Dyson offered a contract! LOL! Just kidding man. Two hours ago that would have seemed very bold and you'd have been right.

  6. LOL, I just figured Pathon was a probable, homeboy and all, and with Dyson still not signed with Tennessee, he was highly probable. But I see KFFL says the Jets are in the mix too. Hope we get him. Don't really care one way or the other on Pathon, I guess he catches. I think he used to return kicks, but that was in Indy, so he may not want to do that now.

  7. Actually I like Pathon for the simple fact that our kick and punt return game has been crap the last few years, and he could help with that. Also, he would make a decent fourth or fifth reciever depending on what happens with K Rob. I think Jurivicius will be our #2 guy before all is said and done, unless of course my bold prediction comes true and we take Clayton in the first.

One thing is certain, Ruskell has a plan and he is sticking to it! I for one LOVE THIS PLAN!

  9. um...Blue...I want a DE...the 'trade up and get a CB' thing is a rumor going around...they LOVE Pacman Jones...

    my fearless prediction:

Shaun Alexander goes absolutely nowhere...as does Koren Robinson

Seattle trades up with their 1st/and a 3rd or 4th rounder to draft David Pollack...backstage, the Seahawks will probably look to trade up for Derrick Johnson, but a going-no-where team will draft him before he fell to the team willing to deal their 1st Rounder

Travis Henry will be traded to the Eagles for a 3rd Rounder (something I heard, and it makes sense...BUT I think the Eagles are raping the Bills)

when the Seahawks get on the clock...the fans wont boo or cheer...we'll get no reaction...

    MORE FEARLESS PREDICTIONS:

-they will have our OLD LOGO on the screen yet AGAIN

-they will spend 14 of our 15 minutes talking about the team ahead of us...and 14 of the next 15 mins after we pick...on the team behind us (GB) AGAIN

-we will be called a disgrace at least once during the first day

-they will rub in the Rams beating us 3 times

  10. after seeing Jerome Pathon signed...im changing my prediction with Koren Robinson...

Koren Robinson WILL be traded on draft day...for what...I have no clue...his potential makes him valuable...but his inconsistency makes him weak...
