And then there were NONE??...

At the end of the season, all we heard about were the 16 free agents that the Seahawks had on the roster. This caused much concern and hand-wringing, but if you look at the tally sheet, we're not doing that bad.

There are only 3 players left who the Seahawks may still have interest in, and two of them (Huard and Mitchell) are mainly for depth.

Not bad for a front office that seemed to be in disarray a few short weeks ago.

  1. Has anyone heard anything on Tobeck? I love him on our line, and worry that someone else will snatch him up.

  2. Pavillion - you blew a perfect pun opportunity...shouldn't have been "worry that someone else will SNAP him up."

I think the FO is moving systematically, and will get to him in turn. There hasn't been any rumors of him visiting other teams, so he's probably back burnered right now. I think they'll treat him right when the time comes.

    HIKE!

  6. I thought the best cure for a hangover was to never go to sleep? Guess practicing that depends on the girls at the bar...

Anyhow, I just wanted to reiterate what I've been saying all along. I thinkt the front office has done a very solid job this offseason. They have not overpaid, they have filled most of the holes, in addition to locking in the big three for at least one season.

Face it, Herndon and Fisher might not be Lucas and Okeafor, but there not a significant step down. Who knows, I was always of the opinion that Lucas could be one of those guys not playing for the love of the game (as Dilfer and Okeafor have explained) and if Herndon is, then that could be better for the team in general. Either way, it's not like the defense could possibly be much worse as a unit than last year, so hopefully our replacements will make a better team, in absense of better talent.

Now we don't really need the draft to fill glaring needs, but to supplement the team (still hoping to sign Hartwell HARTWELL HARTWELL)

  7. Just thought I'd resurrect this post from a few weeks ago, now that we knocked off two more FAs from the list.

Actually, Huard, Gray and Mitchell are all "take 'em or leave 'em" at this point, so all in all, we didn't do too bad.

  8. No one left on this list interests me at all. We're better off without them.

  10. I'd rather have Huard than Shuan King, that's for damn sure.
