Being a Seahawks fan for my whole life, I've seen how many people overlook teams because they don't have a dominant history. Arizona is going to be very good next year. They've upgraded in many positions, (exept quarterback, I hate Kurt Warner, the most overrated player in the NFL) and the positions they haven't upgraded, they were good at to begin with. They will be a contender next year. I'm predicting 2nd in the West (behind our Hawks) and a playoff bid.
Did you post this poll before or after hearing that they signed Orlando Huff?
I didn't know they had signed Huff. Was Huff restricted or un? Ummm...it looks like I really pissed off Vinny, damn! Now I feel like a heel. Guess I let my temper get the better of me, and said some things I shouldn't have said. I would like to make it up to him if I can. Alba, I know you talk to him sometimes, if there's any way you can facilitate in bringing him back I would greatly appreciate it. I really didn't mean to make him so angry he would stop commenting here.
I voted for St. Louis, not because they are a good team anymore, in fact I consider them to be an old team on their way down, while the Cards are a young team on the rise. I just think that the Cards will need one more season before they will be better than the Rams, although I do think that is inevitable. THe Rams offense still has one good year left in them I think, but they will be a .500 or below team next year. I expect the Cards to be right there at about .500 as well. It could certainly go either way, but in my opinion, the Rams offense still presents a formidable threat, which the Cards don't have yet.
Huff was an unrestricted free agent, I haven't seen the terms of his deal yet.
Thanks Paulie P, I had just found that out and I believe the deal was for four years.BTW, I think that if the Rams do trade Pace, that it will certainly hurt them this season somewhat, but in the longrun, it might be the smart move for them, since they are an old team with a crappy defense and trading Pace could bring in a couple of draft picks which would inject some youth into that team. In a way, I hope they don't trade Pace, I would rather see them keep him, overpay for him and let the rest of their team continue falling into disrepair. I would hate to see them reload and get younger, or improve their defense.
Don't worry about Vinny, he'll be back. Tried this same "take my ball and go home" trick on the ST site a few months ago. But I'll pass along your message just the same.Travis Taylor is gone now and Darren Howard signed his tender with the Saints, so he's either playing or getting traded soon.Still no word on Hartwell, and now Rick Mire is available...how funny would THAT be??
Thank's Alba, I appreciate it.
Dear God No. No Mirer. I've heard Brad Johnson is talking to the Hawks, he'd be a great get in my opinion.
What the heck happened there? I guess that makes me a triple post threat!
I put this up before the Huff subtraction. He is such and average linebacker, it really doesn't bother me that he's over there. The only thing is that he and Okeafor may tell them our dirty little secrets on strategy against them, but that is less and less of a factor in today's fluid NFL. For instance, going back any more than four games in film is pretty much worthless, unless you're playing the Patriots.
