This from the Trib this morning; "The Cleveland Browns’ interest in Seattle quarterback Trent Dilfer figures to grow after Kelly Holcomb signed with Buffalo on Friday. Cleveland explored trade talks with Seattle even while management was attempting to re-sign Holcomb. Browns GM Phil Savage acknowledged those talks for the first time Friday. “We have talked – not specifics, but we have certainly talked,” Savage told The Associated Press. ..."
Also apparently one of the players tentatively lined up to visit the Seahawks Is Renton native and Ram DE, Bryce Fisher. Fisher had what many consider a breakthrough season last year posting 8 1/2 sacks.
Of further interest, "DT Rocky Bernard, a restricted free agent who has been tendered for 2005 by the Seahawks, visited with the Houston Texans yesterday. Bernard is from nearby Baytown, Texas. The New York Jets are also interested, but the Seahawks have the right to match any offer for him or get draft-pick compensation."
I'm not positive but I believe that Rocky was a fourth round pick for us. Is he more valuable to us than a fourth round pick? I just don't know myself. I'm torn on this one.
This is also interesting, not quite sure but I think Rocky was a fourth round pick.

Sorry, I posted the comment then decided to add it to the original thread, it just seemed to make sense there.

ReplyDeleteHARTWELL!
ReplyDeleteHey check, ya said it wrong...It's not Ohwell it's Hartwell. :-)
ReplyDeleteSince Rocky is a fifth rounder I think it would be samrter to match any offers so long as those offers aren't ridiculous. Although, loading up on picks might not be a bad idea either, especially now that we're apparently going to get another mid round pick for Dilfer. Who knows, maybe we can package some picks and get the guys we really ant.
ReplyDeleteWe're signing Adam Ant?
ReplyDeleteNo, but I have heard rumors about Atom Ant, you know, up and at em Atom Ant, of Hannah Barberra fame.
ReplyDeleteWord on Atom Ant is that although he is undersized he is extremely powerful and has a tremendous work ethic. He flies accross the field sideline to sideline (literally) and people say that because of his diminutive size, he's very difficult to block.
He even comes with his own helmet, although there are worries that his antenae sticking out from the top may lead to an injury.
Also sometimes tends to be out of position as he is constantly rushing off to save innocent victims in distress, though in my opinion his superspeed usually makes up for it.
He'd be better than the other guy. I heard he's a bit of a Goody Two Shoes. He don't drink and don't smoke, what does he do?
ReplyDeleteSorry, there are probably only one or two guys here that will even 'get' that joke.
"It must be something inside."
ReplyDeleteThat's because there are only one or two guys here as old as we are Vinny.
