Interesting Rumors

-Andre Dyson is meeting with the Seahawks today (cross fingers, id rather have Surtain)...Dyson has played in 58 straight games...while the Seahawks are focusing on him early this week, they are showing interest in several other corners...

-Speaking of Surtain, Seattle is now the leading candidate in getting him (good news considering many teams asked about him)...any team dealing for Surtain would have to rework or extend his contract, because he has an $8.3 million salary cap number for 2005...Surtain is said to be looking for at least an $8 million signing bonus on any new deal

-Seahawks will meet with Edgerin Hartwell in the next few days, he has stated he wants to become "the greatest LB ever"...Will Lewis has been in alot of contact with Hartwell's agent...Hartwell has 331 tackles in the last 3 seasons, playing along side a tackle-stengy defense...and has not missed a game...very impressive

-Seahawks are expected to meet with Anthony Thomas...gulp...why?

-Shaun Alexander has no interest to sign the one year tender thingy, so he wouldn't be required to come to training camp

-Bryce Fisher is soon to be meeting with the Seahawks after a decent breakout season with the queers from St. Stupid...he matched Okeafor with 8 1/2 sacks (although Okeafor could of gotten more if Wistrom wasn't out that long...being he was doubled teamed)...Bryce also grew up in Renton (im guessing thats near Seattle...remember im in Maryland, I have no idea)

-Anthony Becht is supposed to meet with the Seahawks soon (could be the end of Stevens)

-Chike Okeafor has narrowed his list down to 3 teams, including the Broncos (ok), the Seahawks (yay), and the Cardinals (uh oh)

-Trotter was a lying pile of poop...saying he was meeting with Seattle, but didn't even give the Seahawks a chance...oh well, I rather have Hartwell

-If Kendrell Bell landed in Seattle, he would most likely switch to strong side (how about him and Hartwell?...too much money though)

I honestly would be surprised if we didn't get Hartwell at this point, Seattle wants him bad, and he likes the thought of coming here...

on off news, the Phoenix Suns defeated the Sonics...great refereeing in the 4th quarter...for a minute I thought I was watching the Baltimore Ravens game...fun fun...and hey the Mariners lost again...0-3 in spring training so far...thats GREAT because they always do the opposite in the season (last year 18-11 in spring, 63-99 in the season)...and Full House was a terrible show...Candice Cameron (plays older daughter DJ) is the worst actress/actor of all time, BAR NONE...her facial expressions are amazingly not believable...ok im done ranting, enjoy!

  1. actually reading up on Dyson, whom is only 4 years pro (i thought he was OLD...I think I got him mixed up)...

he doesn't look too bad...he would come cheap...I say get him if we can still afford Hartwell, Okeafor, and someone else halfway decent (from Pork Chops level on up)

but the question is...is he starter material? I like Bobby Taylor, but I don't think he is a starter anymore, I don't trust him enough speed-wise

  2. and what does everyone think about Anthony Becht? that would cause Stevens to lose his job most likely...

  3. Two offensive names that I think present interesting options and could help are Jermaine Wiggins TE Vikings, who actually led the team in receptions last year after replacing Kliensasser. I saw this guy play all the time living here in Fargo, and believe me, he's got skills. He would also probably be less expensive or at least no more expensive than it would be to resign Mili.

The other name who I think would be inexpensive but would make a good #2or3 reciever is Cedric Wilson WR Niners. Again, a guy I saw alot of last year because he was on my fantasy team. He's not great, but he's fairly consistent, and he can catch the ball.

Of those two I think Wiggins would be very nice and it looks like we won't be resigning Mili, so I would suggest cutting Stevens ass and going with Wiggins and Hannam as our TEs. I like those two better than most experts would. I think they would both do better than expected here, Hannam showed nice flashes last year and Wiggins was the most consistent reciever the Vikes ahd last year. Actually they really want to resign him but it seems less and less likely they will, for who knows what reason. Perhaps Wiggins doesn't want to be there.

  4. what do you think of Scott Fujita?

he posted 204 tackles, 8 1/2 sacks, and 6 passes defended in the last two years, without missing a game

then again, that could be the Cheifs' lack of defense making his stats inflate being one of the few good starters they have...

he would only cost a 5th round pick, and he was offered the lowest tender by the Chiefs

  5. chiefs*...damn i before e...

thats what eliminated me in the elementary school spelling bee...I finished 3rd overall, qualifying for the county in which I finished 2nd

  6. TE Anthony Brecht played for our new ST coach former Jets TE coach last season. he should have some pretty good insight.

I don't know much about Fujita, other than he's one of my favorite mexican foods, and I did well with him in Madden off the FA wire.

Great. Now I sound like Get Smart. Maybe we should sign Antion Pierce, too!

  7. check...thats exactly what I said...is Fujita really a good player to start for us at the cost of a 5 rounder...or is he inflated because of the Chiefs...

    nailed it on the head...

if we get desperate, we'll need desperate measures...and Fujita is 'good enough'...definitely an upgrade

  8. No one even touched ADP's Anthony Thomas remark.

I for one would be looking at him, he's one of the better HBs left in FA.

I'd like to see what he could do behind a Line that helped Alexander get his season totals.

  9. Vinny, DUDE! You can't be serious! The A TRAIN?!? in case you haven't noticed Vinny, Thomas is one of the worst halfbacks in the league, that's why on one touched thecomment and that's why no other team is hotly pursuing him. You want to see what he could do behind our line? GOOD GAWD NO!!! He would flop miserably! Now you really have thrown any credibilty you may have had right out the window. Were you joking? Seriously, were you just trying to get a rise out of us? I know you aren't THAT bad at talent evaluation. I get it, you were just trying to be controversial, you must be because Thomas has four speeds, slow, turtle, sloth, and moving so slowly he's causing a temporal distortion. We have TE's on our team that would make better half backs than him. I'd much rather start either of our backup halfbacks than him.
What does your outdated Bible say about him? It probably has him rated very high huh? Toss that thing out Vinny, it wrong wrong wrong.
