more bad news

I heard on NFL network that Chiki Okeafor is close to inking a deal with the Arizona Cardinals.
And in other news Jeff Garcia has narrows his choices down to The Hawks and Denver.
What do you think of having Garcia in as our back up QB?

Loosing our free agents is something that is really ticking me off,
How about spending some money.

  1. Rats.

Oke was a good deal while he lasted. Four million dollars for two years was a heck of a bargain.

Byrce Fisher, your stock just went up.

    How about this, then:

    Brown & Kout, OLB;
    Hartwell, MLB;
    Wistrom & a #1 pick at DE.

Any projected second round picks at CB this year?

  2. This, of course, means the DT by committee will continue.

  3. I rather have him go to Denver...luckily, Lucas betrayed us fast enough (he was supposed to TEST...not sign with the first team, regardless of the money) that this signing doesn't hurt half as much

the worst thing about this is that Arizona just got alot better..he is the perfect compliment to their other DE

but at least he actually tested the market...

think about this...overpay Okeafor, or get a DE with more potential for less money?

im after Hartwell and Surtain now...I wished they hired me as a consultant...I would lock them in a room with Hartwell and his agent...no phone, no water...

  4. as for Jeff Garcia...

my least favorite QB ranking...1 being the worst...

    1.Eli Manning/Marc Bulger
    3.Jeff Garcia
    4.Chris Redman
    5.Kyle Boller

I say if we get Garcia, trade him to another team for their backup...DILFER...ok maybe not him...but Billy Volek?

im sorry but how is Seneca ever going to get a chance if he keeps getting put down the depth chart

besides, im a rebel...hes country...I can't stand his voice...and I have severe problems with rednecks (sorry if any of you are one...I live in a ghetto and our school is between country and ghetto...and we have bad blood)

but hey...im sure the Seahawks will take into consideration of how I feel and do things my way :P

couldn't we at least sign Brad Johnson?...that way Seneca could at least have someone to battle...Garcia would be a big 'duh'

  6. I like Chike, his hustle, his technique, but he's replaceable, even upgradable. His perceived value is overrated because he was our only pass rush for the bulk of the season. He seems good because the rest of them were absent or even sucked.

Garcia is the perfect poster boy for Planned Parenthood.

  7. BTW: Draft a QB and move Seneca up. Give those legs a chance.

  8. I don't think that Seneca's near ready yet. Another year or so. He's a great athlete but he he still doesn't have the arm (touch).

That Vick sh*t don't fly, and Seneca's no Vick.

  9. This is not an offense you can just plug a green QB into. Seneca's not ready to be the backup yet. (YET)

  10. I know this will really surprise you Vinny, but I completely disagree with you about Seneca. LOL.
I think Seneca is ready and I think that he will make a great #2 because of his ability to vreat with his feet.
We do seem to disagree an awful lot, don't we Vinny? YOu know, I'm glad we do, I would hate to see that everyone agrees with me all the time, and I love seeing another perspective, whether I agree or not. I talways gives me something to think about.

  11. I like your disagreements. The dynamics of this polar realtionship adds a lot of synergy to the dialogue of this blog.

  12. I'll drink to that(just Koolaid), it's always great hashing it out with a fellow fan.

And on Seneca, I'll agree that his footwrok is awesome, however our offense is pretty complicated, look how long it took Brett, Trent and Matt to get it down.

  13. It seems that everyone has forgotten Tracy White. I thought he was looking like a playmaker before he was injured. I would think that 3 out of Lewis, Brown, Kout and White is not a terrible worst-case scenario (Not sure if anyone other then Kout could play MLB. Lewis is probably the only possibility there.).

A significant upgrade, IMO, would be to put Hartwell in the middle. This would leave them with a good backup at MLB in Kout and a good backup at OLB in White/Lewis. You know at least one of the LB's will be injured, especially given Brown's and White's (relatively short) histories. I think the acquisition of Hartwell would provide a bit of depth to the corps as well as providing an upgrade to the starters. They would then have one backup at MLB and one at OLB that you would feel pretty comfortable with.
