8 Miles in a Sub Urban

Wide Receiver Jerheme Urban is the next up to the Mike...as in Mike Brown interviewing a player for Seahawks.com.

While Jerheme was only activated for 7 games last season, he stepped up big time in games against the 49ers and Cowboys, and is battling to remain with a team knowing there's plenty of competition at that position.

"I'm approaching it just like every other year," says Urban. "You've got to earn your spot, and if I'm fortunate enough to make the team and contribute, so be it."

The video is worth watching if only to see one of the most goofy looking stretching excersizes, and to see the set of serious "guns" on this guy in the weight room!

NOTE: Topic renamed after several posters on the PI site mentioned that he looks like Eminem!

  1. I don't get why he's having to "earn" a job yet again, when guys like KRob have done everything imaginable to lose theirs.
Urban is the guy that (if Munchausen would ever come around) he would want to adopt.

He's definitely got some pipes huh?

  2. He's better defined than Niko!!!

With K-Rob on the mend, and Joe J on the team, Jerheme's gonna have to work to stay in the rotation.

I think he will, but it won't be easy. He's like our own version of Wayne Cherbet!

  3. You know, I've gotta hand it to .com, they have really cranked it up a notch. I love these video interviews, they are terrific. For the first time since I can remember, I actually like going to that site, it's actually become a place to go to find out about what's going on with the Hawks. Strange, I am used to that site stinking the internet up.

  4. Hey! There's that knock on Niko again! That's my boy you're making fun of! LOL.
You're right though, Niko is not the most cut guy you'll ever see and Urban really is pretty darned cut.
Oh well, just remember Jack Lambert, he was never very big or very cut either, but he worked out pretty good as a MLB as I recall.

I hope Urban makes the most out of his shot this year, I really kinda like the young man, I can see why so many people like Munchausen are so enamored with him, he is obviously a weight room guy, he's tall has good hands, and is very personable (not that that mean sanything on the field but it's easier to root for someone who isn't a jerk or isn't stupid sounding).

  5. I think it's a combination of the change in leadership (just look at the Bucs or Falcons sites) and the collective shared opinion on EVERY Seahawks web board that Seahawks.com was USELESS.

Glad to see the message got through SOMEHOW and they're taking notice.

Now, if they would only redesign that hideously space wasting front page and tired oversized graphics!!!
